  1. I hope this is the case. I think we should approach this as a league game, and like you say get a win!
  2. I think we’re in for a hammering here. I can see Enzo making wholesale changes that will likely significantly weaken us. They will probably go full strength, and they’re actually a decent side and will be bang up for it.
  3. Do we purposely leave signings until the last minute so they can’t play the preceding game? Would have been nice for him to have a little cameo at the weekend.
  4. Nanasi would be ideal, he’s incredible and I think he is on the radar.
  5. Pablo Solari? We need to have a look at South America more!
  6. The same set of fans that are considered the worst behaved in the country…..
  7. #LCFC the finalisation of the finalisation to the final parts of the finalisation to the final part of Sensi’a move to LCFC. Then the final part of the transfer can commence. #SENSI
  8. Get him and Praet out of the door, and we could even made a deadline day dash for another winger?
  9. Yea a bit like Chaplin. I think he’s going to be playing advanced I would imagine, he is by trade a more Maddison type of player, but due to his technical ability he was dropped deeper later in his career, much like Cambiasso. But at championship level he should be easily able to play in the high 8 role with KDH, and be that creative spark we’ve missed since Madders left. However, it means that when needed, he could play the winks role!
  10. He will be playing in the high 8 position. Pre inter he was more of a box to box 8. It’s his technique and creativity we need. If he stays fit, at this level he will piss it.
  11. @Aleksz @Chelmofox Possibly it’s the fact I was still angry after Coventry, I agree with a lot of the points you’ve made, I just felt ultimately we could have won that game had we made an effort to get that second goal.
  12. Drink driving has claimed the lives of many innocent people, destroying lives and families. Clubs need to take a firmer stance on incidence like this, it appears no one was hurt, but if you’re willing to sit behind the wheel of a car drunk, you’re willing to take the chance that you may recklessly seriously injure or kill someone. If he’s got an issue I’m all for the club helping him through it, but he probably shouldn’t be playing for the club again. You can’t be complicit in behaviour like this, not with this kind of profession.
  13. I think Akgun is decent, he’s not had a real chance yet. Hopefully he gets a run out against Brum.
  14. It seems that way. Opting to play Hamza in the role he did last night now poses questions over Doyle too………
  15. Really? The second half was abysmal. I didn’t see the benefit of Hamza playing where he did, he really struggled, and Ricardo was far too high leaving Winks exposed. Ipswich lacked any kind of quality at all, it was all effort but we handed the game to them. I thought he completely over complicated the selection, and by the second half they were at sixes and sevens. I’ve been a stout defender of his tactics, but yesterday I just felt he completely threw it by trying too hard and it backfired… the problem I now have is we’re probably going to chuck games we shouldn’t because of Enzo’s philosophy, whilst you’ve got Southampton who are currently steamrolling towards us, and likely to encounter less issues than we are. I just wasn’t happy at all with yesterday, we threw away two points in my opinion.
  16. We’ve been subjected to horrific mismanagement, and have had to watch the club attempt to destroy itself from the inside out. And having to watch roughly two years of Brendan Rodgers rip the soul out of the club is enough to turn any fan sour, no matter the event history. You’re not wrong, we should be more grateful, no club of our size will ever have a decade like we’ve had. But, we’re bitter because we’re in this position through sheer incompetence not a lacking of quality or finances (as the local papers will have you believe). Anyway, your assessment of us maybe premature, as it seems our manager will do everything within his power to piss this away.
  17. Absolutely honking yesterday. The more I reflect the worse it gets. It was a tactical Frankenstein, and I don’t think Enzo will ever learn. There was zero midfield yesterday, Winks was chasing shadows in there by himself. Fair enough, Ricardo is probably a good enough footballer to play where he did, but Hamza isn’t, any that combination meant there was a gaping hole in our midfield. Faes at points was almost pushing into a CAM position because that’s the amount of space he had in front of him. Was Doyle not on the bench? Or Coady? Why on earth did Hamza play? And how on earth did he stay on? The substitutions were awful, we needed to sort out the defence and midfield, the striker was feeding off scraps, so changing him wasn’t going to improve anything…. Ive been fighting for Enzo all season when thinks when tits up, but that was a cluster **** yesterday, and it’s hard to defend something as tactical abhorrent as that was. Carry on like this, and we will be finding ourselves in the play offs.
  18. They will beat us comfortably, we will make 11. Changes and **** it off. It’s not important we HAVE to get the league sorted
  19. I thought they were crap.
  20. I’m not even sure how to begin other than that was utterly dreadful. So let’s start from the top, first half was alright. We looked in control and deserved the lead…. Second half is where things go south. Was tonight an example of managerial and tactical ineptitude? Or a manager trying to be far too clever and it backfiring? That formation was frankly ridiculous, thankfully Ipswich are dog, a team with a more potent attack could have well taken us to the cleaners. I think it’s unfair to jump on Hamza, because he was asked to play a role far beyond his capabilities, both in and out of possession he was diabolical tonight, and looked lost. Then there was Ricardo, where exactly was he playing? Because he was nowhere near Winks who was made to play in midfield pretty much by himself. KDH was nothing short of horrendous, and MacAteer deteriorated rapidly as the game wore on. Second half was an absolute shambles, we may as well have put orange shirts on and played for Ipswich, ball retention was poor, the shape of the team was poor, and to be honest, I don’t think the lads had a clue what was being asked of them. There were pointless balls being lofted upfield, Mavadidi barely for a touch in the second half and to make matters worse, the more likely Ipswich started to look, the less we did. Tactically everything was wrong today, Maresca dropped a bollock. I’ve defended him stoutly this season, but I’ve now got some major concerns about him. I like his philosophy, but he is so inflexible with it that it’s going to start becoming a hindrance. Today had nothing to do with available players, it had everything to do with improper use of those players. This team has the ability to walk this league, but Enzo is employing his philosophy over the strengths of the team, and today just completely undermined everything we’re trying to do. I don’t think we will win the league, Enzo has proven yet again that his own ideology outweighs what is best for the team. Southampton will end up breezing past us, and we’re going to have to fight to keep our place in the top two, which I don’t think we’recapable of. Enzo needs to gather his thoughts and have a serious think about the rest of the season, because as it stands, we aren’t going to be achieving what we should be. I’ve got the same gut feeling I had about Rodgers when I began doubting him, you can’t be so one dimensional with your ideology, not unless you’ve got the best players in the world….. asking Hamza to play that role today, would be like asking a learner driver to drive a train….. just was never going to work. Im just baffled by this performance tonight, it was absolutely abhorrent, and it shouldn’t have been…… tonight was as bad as it ever was under Rodgers, and I’m not sure I can trust Maresca to do what’s necessary to put it right.
  21. Apparently B.Rodgers has applied.
  22. Welcome Sensi.
  23. He probably read this forum, and thought “**** staying here”……
  24. I wouldn’t bother mate, apparently we’re ****ed…..
  25. I think our club definitely has the most depressed fan base. One defeat and it seems the club are back to heading down the shitter!
