It's just sad We know for a fact neither Faes or Vestergaard are good enough if we go up We know for a fact neither of them have any kind of long term future (27 and 33 and both expire in 2027) Nelson is 20, has an impressive season already at this level, is an academy product and has room to develop long term and either become a mainstay in the side or be sold for pure profit to help balance the books when we next lurch towards financial disaster again This was the PERFECT opportunity to make him a lynchpin of our defence and see what he is made of Instead he had one ropey game and is now banished whilst we have to watch these two instead, short term it doesn't actually benefit us much as they are making mistakes and we are conceding goals, long term it is diabolical planning

They are, which is why continuing to play the CB pairing that is actively costing us points is a dreadful managerial decision regardless of getting bailed out today Last 2 games we have dropped 4 points from individual mistakes from them, yet Nelson and Okoli have been banished for a poor 45 minutes in the cup

Literally our last 3 goals conceded have been from individual errors from our CB pairing, neither of which are good enough if we get promoted and neither of which have any long term future at the club, it's a complete waste of time to be playing them every week over Nelson and Okoli when they are actively costing us games anyway and there is no longer term upside It might not have cost us points today but these mistakes have cost us points in each of the last 2 games Just because we won it doesn't mean the issues disappear does it, it's the happy clappers like you that are why we are on the downslide we are, 3 points and all of a sudden you forget the bigger issues at the club, it's the absolute definition of papering over the cracks We are third because the quality in the league is absolutely abysmal, not because we are playing well

James was great, Fatawu with another worldie, Monga had a great game Other than the penalty (terrible decision from ref, dumb from Faes) we didn't particularly look like conceding Should have scored more Very concerned about our striker options, If Daka, Ayew, and Carranza get 10 between them I will be surprised at this point

If Faes and Vestergaard start the next game together then it is time Marti ****ed off at this point 3 games in a row we have conceded now because of one of them shitting the bed

Honking decision but what the **** is Faes doing, the ball is going out, he is never going to do anything from that position, why ****ing fly in like that when we have seen week after week how dreadful the officials are at this level

Daka being the best striker at the club is the kind of statement that makes me contemplate which flavour of bleach to add to my tea in the morning

Is it the tactics or are academy keepers terrible, because every single game seems to be a glut of goals

With Faes and Vestergaard it is more that they are blocking Okoli and especially Nelson from playing despite neither of them having any future at the club, we know they aren't good enough in the top tier, we know they won't be with us past their current contracts It makes no sense to keep playing them rather than give game time to 2 younger CBs who might be around longer and could develop as players and as a partnership

At this point I would be disappointed if the atmosphere was good, it should reflect the abject shite that is being served up on the pitch

5th time in 8 games that we have had 2 or less shots on target this season To achieve so little with what I imagine is still the highest wage bill in the league is scandalous He really needs to figure things out and figure them out fast

Honestly not sure I care, it will be a shit lineup, we will play shit, one of the players will do something stupid to make us concede, we will create nothing, what little we do create will be put into the stands, we will drop points again

The fact we have 2 contenders for that honour on the pitch together with Daka explains everything with regards to our downfall

Watson came through their academy, was there from the age of 9 and left for Brighton this summer, he wasn't on loan from Brighton

For me it is more that I would like to see him on the bench and coming on in games to develop with more minutes He shouldn't be starting though I agree
