Forest 2-2 LCFC, post-match thread
OntarioFox replied to Phil Mitchell's topic in Leicester City Forum
Honestly Nuno has got that group overperforming and playing to their limited strengths. His stock is high. I'd have him if the mafia boss does something daft, but i reckon like others have said he's good money for a prem or European club. The disrespect towards him has been long-standing to be fair. He did a brilliant job at Wolves and begrudgingly has also done so at F*rest. Spurs were and still are a meme. -
I think it's more the elitism and their misplaced belief that any sort of European football is going to have the media fawning over them and their exploits back at a time when the Theme from M*A*S*H was number 1 in the charts. As much as I hate to admit it, them being back in the UCL would be a massive story from a neutral perspective, and the media would have a field day with it. But the harsh reality is that nobody cares if they play at Europa or Conference League level next season, unless they either reach the latter stages or get dumped out by a minnow. You can see it on their forum right now - mental gymnastics left and right, because this was their big moment to get back "where they belong" on the flimsy basis of something that happened 45 years ago. And they're failing, and need to convince themselves that the consolation prize is what they wanted all along. Yes, as fans we relish those European trips, and yes I'm bitter that they're having their best season in three decades while we're suffering the worst I can remember. But as others have pointed out, with how badly UEFA have watered down the format there really isn't any particular prestige below the UCL level any more. They can take the piss out of us having to play Wrexham, but they could be just down the road lining up against The New Saints or Shamrock Rovers later that same week.

Sorry boys, I apologise for the Blurbejkraften slander. Up the Scheissenmensche

@Bilo I hope you're having a lovely evening, by the way. -
Knew this thread would make a comeback today. Takes me back to the glory days when these threads were a "best of" compilation of meltdowns about us on other fan forums. As for this new "lol enjoy Wrexham away" thing - it really isn't the flex they think it is given the media are creaming themselves over Wrexham's rise. Regardless of the level of competition, I guarantee there will be more coverage of the Hollywood darlings playing former champions of England than there will for Forest playing Blurbejkraften Scheissenspiele on a Thursday night. Sky will make a big deal out of it.

We should also remind ourselves that if our pathetic bottle job had played out this season, instead of the two years we did it in... We'd have still got Champions League by finishing fifth. Forest have it on a plate for them thanks to the ridiculously generous offer from UEFA this year. And they're still on the cusp of bottling it. -

The boy became a man today. Shame it's taken him three visits to their dive of a ground, but he's a big part of why we left with a point today. -

Penny's dropping that they're actually a gash football team that have had a mountain's worth of luck and teams playing right into their high press all season. They're getting worked out, and as mad as it will make some on here, credit to RVN for setting us up right today to mop up that counter-attacking threat. Our players are for the most part garbage, of course, which handed them Wood's goal in particular on a plate, but Ruud was vindicated starting Ayew and Thomas in particular, and brought on the flair at the right time to get us back in it. We're sat here having been inches from a schoolboy doing Knockeart things. I'll take that all day. Absolutely insane that a team as garbage as them are going to play some sort of European football, but hopefully it's against Wi-Fi passwords on a Thursday and ruins their domestic season accordingly. The issue is... do you trust Enzo and his death-by-possession tactics to deliver that? I sure don't - his Chelsea team are perhaps the perfect side for F*rest to play on the final day. -

We've just done something incredibly funny. Hate this team, but I'm going to enjoy watching that Facundo goal back for years to come - not only for how good it was, and the limbs in our end, but for the Sky cameras panning around to miserable F*rest fans realising their team is reaching Peckham Spring levels of bottling.- 423 replies

come on boys, keep your heads, big finish needed

He makes Luke Littler look... well, littler.

We've wilted, like we always do. Hate this team.

Personally think Thomas has had a decent half in the circumstances (namely, us being appalling at football). The ire of the inbred crowd should hopefully put a few hairs on his chest after his last two abysmal showings on this ground. He doesn't look terrified every time they get the ball, which in itself is an improvement, admittedly from an incredibly low bar. Maybe he'll realise it's quite enjoyable to go there and spoil their fun.

They're rattled because they were embarrassed by the last one he took. Imagine calling yourself a UCL-standard team while still falling for the Rory Delap special over a decade later
-
I did say that Ayew would make sense against these if he plays a spoiling role against their high press and prevents us turning over possession easily, but seeing that wider team sheet I have no confidence in us being able to do anything of the sort. Gonna be a long afternoon.

Nottingham Forest can confirm the club's participation in the 2025-26 UEFA Champion's League.

Nice one Jackson, moron Surely this is just going to intensity the scrutiny of Mings' horror challenge in retrospect as well
-
It's only Villa who have a worse goal difference, so yeah almost definitely worth an extra point for Chelsea and Toon. We do have the opportunity to do something very funny today if one or the other wins, though.

The S*n can do one, any sources that aren't scum?

Left it a bit late this year, but let's all laugh at Derby

Leicester City All Stars Vs Anstey Nomads All Stars
OntarioFox replied to Lewis Wright's topic in Leicester City Forum
Well you see, they had to reschedule it so that long-suffering LCFC fans still have an escape from having to watch us embarrass ourselves at the City Ground. -
Plus wasn't the whole point of the story that Nottingham was an overcrowded, crime-ridden shithole with unaffordable rents run by a corrupt Sheriff?
