  1. Azerbaijan have a long history of dodgy voting patterns. Their jury was actually disqualified in 2022 after ringleading it with five other countries, but it's believed it had been going on for years at that point, if not since the day they first entered. https://eurovisionfun.com/en/2022/05/azerbaijan-announcement-for-the-cancellation-of-of-its-jury-vote/ There are pretty credible accusations that they bought their one and only win in the contest by fiddling the votes. Factor in Armenia being their answer to Palestine, and it checks out that they'd be easy for the Israelis to buy the vote of.
  2. Brilliant stuff, what a day. Dean Henderson finally gets his moment after a pretty miserable career, and certainly going to be known as his final. That's Forest's season well and truly fooked too. Love it.
  3. (insert joke about brexit here)
  4. He's a proper manager too. He was on the touchline barking orders and organising his players in the run-up to that break and goal, it was absolutely by intention. Imagine having that!
  5. It's a fair point but i think him getting a medal vs Oil FC sucking up more silverware is the lesser of two evils here.
  6. Yesssssssss All that pissing around with it from Man City and then they just counter and score. Love to see it. Possession footy can get in the bin.
  7. To be fair...
  8. Glad to hear there's an attempt to reach as wide a chunk of the fanbase as possible really. It's very obvious that the majority here have a very dim view of the current ownership, but the 'casual' match going fan anecdotally seems far more blindly loyal to them and may have different opinions for right or wrong (wrong, by the way - they're wrong). As much as anything, it will give those of us who are sick of Top's mismanagement an idea of just what we're up against. How big is the KPFC contingent and what actually is the 'majority' consensus amongst the fanbase? There's only one way to find out...
  9. Done, thanks for putting it together. Echo what others have said that you're almost certainly going to get a heavily skewed set of answers to certain questions - if this was me in Uni days I'd be getting absolutely poleaxed by my lecturer for confirmation bias. I imagine if you're posting this elsewhere you're going to get a completely different bias from, say, Leicester Undivided on Facebook. But ultimately this is more along the lines of what we (at least in the FoxesTalk bubble) want to see from the trust, more open engagement and not being afraid to take a more critical line against the ownership - or at least ask the fanbase their honest opinion!
  10. Remember when Dewsbury-Hall started out for us and he used to do those silly runs in circles because he couldn't fathom how to control the ball with his right foot? Mercifully got it coached out of him under Enzo and he became a solid midfielder. But the Kiernan Twirl was a very real thing during his first season or so.
  11. Derby day down the Dickhole is going to be a hell of an experience
  12. I don't think 4-4-2 should be a dirty word. We largely won the league playing that formation (well, 4-4-1-1 really with Shinji sat behind Jamie). The best performance we ever put in under Brenda was when we demolished Villa away, with Vardy and Iheanacho playing one of their only games together up top. However, to blindly stick to it would be just as sinful as any combination of Enzo / Puel / Rodgersball. Players have different skillsets nowadays, and the best managers are capable of adapting their game plan to utilise them effectively. Dyche, despite the dinosaur accusations, is just the other cheek of the same arse as possession fetishists - unwilling to compromise even when it doesn't work.
  13. It's hilarious to think that World Famous ™️ Forest have fewer points and appearances in the PL Era than Wimbledon, a club that more or less ceased to exist in the form that is being referenced over 20 years ago. They really are a nothing club living off past glories, that lot up the road.
  14. Spent a few years in Sheffield back in Uni days, and even back then Wednesday gave me the vibe of a club on the ropes despite (at the time) playing at a higher level than United, who were rooted in League One. As we well know, football can shift in an instant and ever since the Blades have completely surpassed them in pretty much every metric. Hillsborough is decrepit and they're averaging about 28K, which sounds good on paper but is a hell of a lot of empty seats in a ground that can hold 40k. It's going on 10-15 years since the Owls could even get close to selling out the ground. https://www.footballwebpages.co.uk/sheffield-wednesday/attendances It always really gave me the ick visiting as an away fan and knowing that the Leppings Lane end is largely unchanged since the horrors of the 1989 tragedy - Newcastle fans who went in 2023 will tell you that it's still dangerous. It's a scandal really - the whole side needs tearing down and rebuilding, but instead it just stands as a morbid reminder of the deadly shortcomings of the place. An actual disgrace and hard to take them seriously as a so-called "sleeping giant" when they can't even address it properly - their response to the 2023 incident was just to reduce capacity rather than change anything. https://www.itv.com/news/granada/2023-01-09/disaster-waiting-to-happen-hillsborough-survivors-on-overcrowding-claim It can't be fun to be an Owls fan and to have seen the Blades leave them totally in their shadow in recent years. They're at a tipping point now where despite historically being the "smaller" club United are getting similar attendances, if not higher most weeks. They're also selling out or getting close on a regular basis. Realistically, they're one stand expansion away from being able to call themselves the "bigger" club with a straight face. https://www.footballwebpages.co.uk/sheffield-united/attendances Hillsborough itself does suffer from its location out on the arse end of the city - Bramall Lane is far more central and hoovers up more "casual" fans looking for a club, especially Uni students. It's a tough sell unless you've been brought up an Owl already and the mismanagement under Chansiri means there are a fair way off any real fanbase growth as a club, unless something miraculous happens on the pitch to bring a few fairweathers out. Barely-related point, but I always thought that Leeds would be in a similar position to the Owls if they weren't a one-club city - Elland Road is in a similarly terrible location relative to the centre, and is arguably even worse given that it doesn't have a reliable public transport link like Hillsborough has with the tram.
  15. This is a pretty good game to watch, obviously tired legs out there but very end to end. Stockport looking the most likely at the moment.
  16. As 45,000 jubilant Leicester fans serenade their GOAT one last time. "There's light up your ass There's light up your ass Jamie Vardy There's light up your ass"
  17. Big song and dance was made of Nani being his Uncle. Should have been a red flag at the time... always hated Nani, the slimy diving so-and-so.
  18. I actually forgot this was happening tonight. Watched Eurovision instead. Anyway I'm late so can I just say AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA See you next year Cov.
  19. Brilliant stuff from Everton re: Goodison. Having recently moved here, it's no exaggeration to say that part of the city is totally dependent on the football for its economic survival. Everton retaining their presence in any capacity will save a lot of pubs and other local businesses from going under, down Goodison Road itself but also further down on Walton Road. There's a separate conversation to be had around why Anfield and Everton are absolute shitholes despite the obscene money swirling around the Premier League, but they're hardly unique in that respect - North London and Spurs in particular are even worse for the disparity around their shiny modern stadia.
  20. WTF, so many empty seats at Bramall Lane. Is that Bristol City's end?
  21. my mate is the ref
  22. This theory unfortunately falls down when you remember that Moss was consistently shit regardless of who was playing. Like, proper doggo.
