  1. Plane there yet?
  2. Yes Wolves, seal the deal so we can get this over with
  3. Ipswich 2-0 down and down to ten men, whoopsy. Guess that means Liverpool ain't winning the title today? Which I'm fine with, makes the narrative all about our shitshow.
  4. Think we can forget Chelsea for operation: bottletree. Bunch of Enzoball wastemen. Villa will sort them out, don't worry.
  5. Wouldn't say no, solid at Championship level
  6. Hey, a 5K run is nothing to be sniffed at, everyone has to start somewhere... ... what do you mean he's taken all season to complete it?
  7. There's nothing to even praise about us being in that 'European semi-final'. Like everything else in that era, we bottled the Europa League to end up there. Nothing against the Conference League and I'd bite your hand off to be there again today, but it's bootlicking revisionism to view that Roma game as anything other than symptomatic of the rot after the FA Cup win.
  8. never thought the day we get relegated i'd be waking up like a kid on Christmas, but here we are
  9. So is it a draw or a Villa win we need here? I guess Newcastle need the points less.
  10. Would be nice to see the combined might of KDH, Barnes and Tielemans decide that you know what, yeah, they do hate Forest after all. Doesn't make up for their absolute bottle jobs at the City Ground two years running, but better than nothing.
  11. Operation Bottletree is on. Operation Out Of Our Misery must wait until tomorrow.
  12. 1-0 West Ham, that's one half of the equation well on its way to being sorted. Bring on the plane!
  13. Depending on whether or not they come up, might be worth trying to poach Kone off Wycombe. Though given his form, wouldn't be surprised to see someone like West Ham or Everton take a punt to pad out their squad. We're not in that bracket anymore - cheers Jon.
  14. Just heard on the Marine social media, the gate today was 1800. Good stuff.
  15. Took the plunge into Non-League after years of threatening today, watching Marine AFC take on Warrington Town in a local derby. Warrington are already down but Marine have pulled off a great escape of sorts after being mired in the drop zone for the first half of the season. They'll play at National League North level again next season - while it'll be at least a year before this fixture happens again, they've still got Southport for a bit of local spice next season, plus Chester if they don't win the playoffs. As for the match itself, proper. Everyone is friendly, you're right up to the pitch and can chat with the players after the game. The whole "pints in view of the pitch" thing has been taken to a new level here - half the crowd had 2-pint mega cups to last them a half. Myself, I wasn't too bothered queuing for one mid-game considering the bar is right there on the terraces and arguably one of the best views on offer. Marine are planning a move to a purpose-built 5,000 seater ground over in Thornton, and you can see why - ever since their FA Cup clash against Spurs things have skyrocketed for them, with an average gate of well over 1,000 now, up from about 200 before then. Official gates are tricky to come by at this level, but there were probably around 1300 - 1500 in today. The money has largely been invested in a plastic pitch which they rent out to the community, and is a major revenue earner to keep things sustainable, but like most old-school grounds they've reached their limit for expansion and need to look elsewhere if they want to continue growing their gate. Plenty here come down when their "main teams" aren't playing, but make no mistake, there's a proper passionate fanbase here. Given this is now on my doorstep I'm not sure if I'm going to bother with the clown show at the KP if there are fixture clashes next season.
  16. I dread to think where the other two go
  17. We get it, they're both slower than a snail in treacle. Would take Ayew about half an hour to get the lid off the biro.
  18. For sheer optics I'm hoping Wolves - Man Utd. is a draw and we're relegated live on TV, plane banner overhead, Top present, Rudkin out chants audible, granny crying into her bovril.
  19. Glad Harvey's finally decided he hates Forest
  20. Spawny Manc sods
  21. Good timing for the plane banner
  22. If we get a new DOF, that's the point at which I want negotiations with Vardy opening. If Rudkin is in that room with him, the contract he'll get will be way too generous given the state of our wider squad. It would be typical LCFC to offer him a 70-80k contract, then sack Rudkin, then have the new DOF come in and publicly state we don't have much money to play with due to PSR / FFP.
  23. Drove by Everton's new ground today. You lot are welcome.
