  1. If he wants to go there more fool him, obvs about the money!
  2. Newcastle could do with a top level DOF just like our Jon. 20 million compo should do it. I'll drive him.
  3. Absolutely, there's very few clubs that 'make money' they are always chasing something. Even a club like Brighton is a bit of bad luck and a bad manager appointment away from being us. I don't suppose football has ever really been a money maker. Really now if less attractive than ever since you cant really hope of breaking into the elite groups, wouldn't surprise me if the Saudis at Newcastle were a bit annoyed by not being bale to buy success.
  4. The stupid thing is matchday revenue is such a small part of the revenue of a football club, they could actually give tickets away for free and it wouldn't make a huge difference. Of course there is a bigger agenda to remove the Oiks from football, across the top 2 divisions.
  5. They can do that if they wish. The issue for them is without fans, proper fans who love the clubs football isn't that interesting, especially if its a closed shop. Part of the reason reason the Premier League was so successful is the whole package, you begin to dismantle that, you destroy your whole USP. Football will exist without this muppets, quite frankly I couldn't care less about them either, id just like them to stop avoiding paying tax and have some form of moral compass.
  6. A meh nation? Have you been? It's one of the cleanest most beautiful places on earth! Bit expensive! They seem pretty decent, comprehensively better than Italy. You do start to wonder if this is going to be a mastery in shithousery. Amazing what happens in football if you try to attack the opposition goal. I'm sure if we just went attack attack we'd beat most, it's just do negative.
  7. We have a serious gap in creativity now. I'm also not sure Mavididi is good enough for the prem being as he went missing for large parts of our difficult period.
  8. Bloody KPFC
  9. That's if clubs like the scouse yank red cartel don't steal them from the actual academy by what should be an illegal points deductible practice of tapping up.
  10. Not entirely if you HAVE to comply with red cartel rules. The owner and board should be able to decide to invest and build a team at a loss if thats what they want to do, you know like the old days when the red cartel could build their reputations by spending far more money than any other club at a loss and how they now have debts of 700 million for example.
  11. I think the market has changed since last year. I'm not sure we are going to see 100 million deals again with this psr shit, even from the bigger clubs. Due to PSR clubs are forced to accept lowball offers to comply. It's an utter sack of shit. I hope to god the court cases **** it off before it destroys the game.
  12. We HAVE to do this because of the red cartel and idiots like Jim Radcliffe saying they don't have enough influence. Every non big six club is in a similar position to us and has to sell best plays, whilst the greedy six exist and absolute drivel like PSR exists we and others like Villa, Brighton will be forced to or have our best players poached away by the greedy six. Yes the owners have made errors. The real issue here is the incompetence of the EPL, EFL to properly regulate the greedy six, red cartel and create a genuine level playing field based on current sporting merit instead of how great you were in the 90s and if you can leverage unfathomable and unsustainable amounts of debt on the intellectual property.
  13. Exactly this. I watch football because I want to see my team compete and win games. I don't watch football because if the big 6. If the big six didn't exit I wouldn't be bothered. Because of the red cartel football has been losing its entertainment value for years, I think so it could reach a point where it eats itself. English football would still be strong without the big six, the Championship and League 1 has massive gates, big clubs. Think of how entertaining football could be if your club actually had a chance of winning something, not based on who throws the most cash. I do think the Super League would be a success for a few years, then it would just be boring.
  14. Ratcliffe is a Brexit twat, **** off smarmy rich ****. I hope a the billionaires get taxed to ****, living off other people's graft.
  15. Serviceable or not, it's not really fair or sustainable. How is it okay to have 700 million debt but not for an owner to put in 50 million a year? Makes no sense.
  16. And Norwich are always absolute pathetic roll over dogshit whenever they get promoted. I actually don't care if we are shit and getting beat if the team if giving all it can. There's being relegated not bring good enough and being relegated for not trying hard enough. The latter is what we did 23 season.
  17. Ratcliffe is a twat, United have nearly 700 million of debt, they shouldn't be allowed to buy any players and should be expelled. That is the definition of unsustainable.
  18. Weirdly they are still used quite a bit in football it seems. I went to an interview at Bet365 who own Stoke and their IT team cover Stoke City, one of the questions was about a faulty fax machine on deadline day. Was a few years back so maybe theyve modernised
  19. We aren't getting a good player though. One who's been injured for 2 years, done the grand total of **** all and Brighton want off their books as he has zero value with 1 year remaining. A stonking deal for Brighton indeed.
  20. He also an extra wage we don't need to pay. Surely we need to be sensible with our wages, we have enough deadwood. This is absolute first rate incompetence from those running the club. Rudkin needs to go.
  21. What is the point. Just tell Brighton put in a proper offer or **** off. They made 130 million profit. We don't want their cast off shit. If we fall for this the people running the club are absolute ****ing morons. A mediocre player with a terrible injury record, we are doing Brighton a favour, he's worth zilch.
  22. Seriously I don't want this modder bloke who the absolute **** is he? Complete waste if a wage. We have enough shit. Can't believe we have to see our best players to ****ing Brighton.
  23. Another half arsed Belgian International who probably doesn't actually want to be here. Id stay well clear.
  24. Presumably though if we breach the stupid EFL PSR we will breach the stupid EPL PSR, so they can both shaft us. The best thing that can happen is that the lawyers are good and either our court case or Man City's court case and determines that it is an anticompetitive sack of shit, because it is and deem it illegal to enforce.
  25. It definitely was extraordinary. I suppose the issue is at the time we were looking like challenging the Top 4, had the owners let Rodgers leave to Arsenal we probably would have been considered unambitious by many, so I can understand why they did it. Did they put too much faith in Rodgers - definitely, but its a fine line. I want the club to be ambitious and a clubs owner should have the ability to be ambitious. I think the clubs overriding mitigating circumstances are that if you want to push to break into the top 6 , you have to make risky decisions and sometimes that may go wrong but really if the ownership are willing to fund that risk, that's up to them. The restrictions effectively limit competition to the existing big 6 as they are the only ones who can meet this long term. The fact we didn't meet the stupid rules hasn't really helped us or anyone else, we still got relegated, other teams have benefited far more from breaking them and had lesser punishments. We have been relegated, lost our best players and will most likely go back down and taken to the cleaners by the EFL because they are bitter and want to 'prove a point'. Other clubs are using loopholes that are blatant but nothing can be done. The whole thing is a joke.
