As a neutral on the subject it would be easy to pile on and laugh! Haha, he left my team, he sucks! If you look at the managerial landscape right now, who would you trade him for? There's a few young progressive managers around and I wouldn't trade our current one Vitor Manos, but he's at least in the mould of someone trying to establish an 'identity', and not just going through the motions. I would take Russell Martin all day every day over a Tony Mowbray or Nathan Jones. Exciting managers outside Prem. Vitor Manos Tonda Eckert Kim Hellburg Chris Davies Brian Murphy Craig Bellamy

He's still young. He could fail another two times and still end up at a Premier League team. I rate him. I've seen his stuff. Yes, he's flawed. Two things can be right at the same time.

He's only really had one miss/ disaster in the Rangers season so far. At MK Dons, Swansea and Southampton he performed at or above par every year. Every single team he was able to get to play the football he wanted, his teams topped possession charts above Fulham's Marcos Silva, Burnley's Vincent Kompany and Leicester's Enzo Maresca.. Possession isn't everything but in those teams he didn't have any real killers. Give him better players and I really wonder what he could do... Now i'm not talking a Man City job (like Maresca) or Bayern (Kompany), but I'd like to see if he could ever get to an Everton like team.

I still think there's a good manager there. Some of his stuff with Swans and Southampton was brilliant.

Shoulda got West Brom manager.. take Birmingham manager right now instead.
-
Corberan would have been great
-
West Brom manager would have been fantastic and fit like a glove too! Cheaped out and paid the price.

Cooper was the weirdest signing EVER. Especially when the owner was so fond of possession football. All the work from last year undone with terrible hire. Could have went for a multitude of guys over him.

As a neutral I was looking forward to seeing Leicester City come up and try and dictate the play vs Premier League teams, it's very very disappointing to see you hire Cooper, knowing you will now give up possession willingly after building all season on it.
-
Are you happy with Steve Cooper being appointed (as looks likely)?

30% average possession terrorist ball incoming. -
Gotta be more Pep disciples around?

I give you... 49 years old....García Pimienta Former Barcelona reserve player. Former Barcelona Youth and Barcelona B Coach. Current Las Palmas manager. Guided them to promotion the season before last with a 65% average ball possession in the Segunda division. This season his team has finished 16th in La Liga and with 59% average possession, had the second highest average ball control (below Barca, above Real).

Very disappointing.. Maybe Las Palmas manager might be interested?

Saints look way better
