Injury talk (Praet) a smokescreen for imminent transfer? Hopefully.
-
Away win. And Ipswich drop points. Beautiful ๐๐
-
Strong selection again. Hopefully we can do enough to allow a number of changes in the second half
-
There would be interest in him as a free in the Summer. Would a struggling EPL team take a punt now - paying maybe ยฃ5-10m ๐ค dunno

The January window is an interesting one. It would be good to do some business and press home our advantage but, I donโt think we have completed many deals in this window in recent years. As in the summer, I suspect it may be a challenge to move on the deadwood. Has there been any noise around the goalkeepers? It will also be interesting to see with AFCON and the Asia Cup if anyone is willing to buy Kel and Souttar. Also with Kel, I imagine he may want to move in the summer on a free to get a big pay day. I do think tho it is time for us to say thanks and part ways. Hopefully we can do some trading, Praet surely has to be on the way out ๐, and at least bring in an 8.

Also players can improve when playing with better, higher skilled players. He hasnโt hit his ceiling yet.

Fatawu and Mavididi complement each other really well. When teams double up on one it creates space for the forward line to exploit- like Mavididiโs goal last night. I think the missing link is unearthing a Maddison type who can see / pick out and deliver the final pass. Hopefully we can secure a permanent deal for Fatawu.Definitely more to come from the lad.
-
You can see the improvement already and his G&A numbers decent. More to come ๐๐

I donโt see us buying a striker in January (at least not on a permanent deal) - fees always inflated and I donโt imagine there is enough in the transfer kitty. I could see us bringing another 8 though, especially with Wilf likely to be missing for most Jan with AFCON. There was a noticeable drop off when we subbed KDH and Wilf yesterday.

When you consider the lad has only worked with Enzo for six months, there is every chance he gets better. Been one of the better players for me this year.

Disappointed not to take 3 points but I will take the draw and six point gap on second place after half the season. we need to remain ruthless and push on. keep marching on citeh ๐๐ -
Definitely an interesting decision to replace JJ with Coady. I havenโt been convinced when Coady has partnered Faes and Vestegaard but back the lads. front six is arguably our strongest and Ipswichโs defence give chances. Hoping for a 1-2 win. Up the citeh ๐๐

Would switch ndidi / KDH for Akgun to give us a bit more creativity/ pick a pass / improve our final delivery. Also maybe give Cannon a try instead of Daka.
-
Strong line up. Hopefully we can start strong and can rest a few in the second half. Up the citeh ๐๐

Wanya Marcal signs new contract until 2026

Agree he has some potential. As you say, if he gets the chance itโs up to him to step up. key period for him, perform and try and nail down a place or he likely moves on -
With Doyle returning, Vardyโs injury and upcoming AFCON what is the priority in January? 1. bring in a left sided defender 2. a striker 3. Tie down Ndidi to a new deal 4. Bring in competition/ a potential replacement for Wilf? the cost of a striker probably rules this option out, though we could be relying a lot on the boy Cannon in coming weeks. Not sure on the answer myself. Interesting to see where the club goes.

He will benefit from a spell on loan if he isnt going to get much of an opportunity over the next coming weeks. Extending his deal at least protects his value if we decide to sell maybe in the Summer. If promoted, I can see we will bring in a lot of players and he may struggle to feature with us. -
Agree. I expect him to go, in January if we buy a CB and someone comes in with a bid or more likely, the summer. Seems a decent lad. I think he has been a bit unfortunate how things have worked out.

With areas to develop / improve. Need to back Enzo and press home our advantage.

Another 3 points - job done and we march on. Clearly some work needed on the defence but, what Enzo has done to turnaround our mentality is unreal. Hail hail ๐๐
