Whilst Sensi is undoubtedly a coup ability wise, can’t help but feel we still lack a physical presence in midfield. With Wilf out we have nothing there really, could be potentially overwhelmed by sides with combative midfielders and/or players technically as good but physically superior (latter not likely to be an issue in this league admittedly). For all Casadei’s flaws he was a unit and at times he used his strength very well. edit: just seen mercury article previous page, good to see, hopefully we can shift Praet and bring another 8 in.

I would love Maidstone home or away, their performance has been remarkable. I don’t care for the cup final unless we are in it, I want to see those magical ties where 5th/6th tier teams face up some of the best teams in the land. Those ties that upset the odds, like Maidstone have just done, are one of the few truly great things about football now that money has so badly damaged the higher levels of domestic and European competition.

I really like him as a player in general, looks technically excellent, but I’m not sure he is an 8. Has to be out wide or as a 10. He needs more physicality/a better engine to make it as an 8 in our system, I think.
