  1. It's a false start if they go within 0.1 of the gun sounding - its based on science that its impossible for thre human body to react within 0.1 seconds, so they deemed to be predicting when the gun will go off - Linford Christie got disqualified under this rule in the 1996 Olympic final as defending champion (:
  2. GB won that with the last stroke after being behind for 99.9% of the race!
  3. Yee paced that perfectly and didn't panic when the NZL chap built up lead and had enough left in the tank for a strong finish. I honestly thought that was over and turned away to carry on with work!
  4. i like him and the Arsenal fans i know have always rated him but will never get much of a look in now they're pushing for a regular top 4 finishes again. We need 4 decent wingers and being versitile means he can cover several positions.
  5. Looking forward to the Athletics, especially Josh Kerr vs Ingebrigtsen in the mens 1500m. Hodgkinson in the Womens 800m and Hudsen-Smith Mens 400m both set world lead times at last weekends Diamond League in London, so both have a decent chance - 2 golds from those 3 would be a v good result.
  6. The best time to move him on was after he performed quite well in Euro 2021 and there was some interest in him at the time. Instead we gave him a new contract with Rodgers publically stating he had 2 number 1's to choose from, seeing him as a successor to Kasper.
  7. The reform voters are hopefully doing a great job of ensuring the Lib Dems get in around here (Long term Tory strong hold usually with 55-60% of the votes)
  8. the stadium & training ground both appear on the clubs balance sheets as tangible assets with a note that there is a hire purchase agreement in place between the club & KP for the stadium - does that mean the club owns them? pages 48 & 49 https://resources.lcfc.com/leicesterfc/document/2024/04/02/3ce38931-9e1f-4734-8202-e5ef7b9507b0/LCFC-FY23-accounts.pdf
  9. Get rid of John Fury out of his corner and let his trainer do his job for starters, although John will be pushing to get Sugar Hill sacked like he did Ben Davison. Fury doesn't have the engine to match Usyk for 12 rounds and needs to have a plan to try and stop him earlier, which risks getting picked apart by Udky with his counter punches.
  10. Its part of Usyk's strategy. Just keeping up with Usyk's work rate & movement for the first 6-8 rounds leaves his opponents shattered and then he takes it up to another level. The same happened when Tony Bellew and AJ fought Usyk, when both were either level or up going in to the second half of the fight and then Usyk put his foot down right after they'd put a big effort in.
  11. didn't notice it during the coverage but appareantly that prat John Fury was shouting over Furys trainer in the corner telling Tyson he was winning and just needed to stay behind this jab for the last few rounds!
  12. Yep, Queensberry had card at York Hall aired on BT last month. Sadly a lot of decent British level fighters are desperate to get on the undercard of these big events in Saudi as the money is life changin -They had the British Heavyweight Championship Title fight on an undercard in Saudi last November
  13. British Boxing has sold its arse to the Saudis now. Even some of the British level fights are being put on the undercard of these events in Saudi instead of headlining on York Hall/02 type events - One of the chaps on the undercard tonight said he never wanted to fight in the UK again!
  14. Fait play to the judges on those scorecards. Usyk turned that around from the 8th onwards and the 10-8 made the difference - Usyk upped his workrate and negated that upper cut from Fury in the last few rounds
  15. had that level going into the 12th and can't call the last round. Maybe Usyk up by 1 but can't see the judges giving him this
  16. Got Usyk 1 up with the 10-8 round in the 9th
  17. better from Usyk in the 8th. 5-3 Fury with a couple of swing rounds in there
  18. 4-2 Fury after 6. Last 2 rounds quite dominant for Fury.
  19. 23.00 ring walk UK time for the main event tonight. Could end up being past midnight start time
  20. He looks very focused but also realised there's no point in wasting the energy trying to rattle Usyk so close to the fight, as it's had no affect on him previously.
  21. 15-17th, although a points deduction and limited activity in the transfer window could see us in deep shit.
  22. The best part about that incident is the young lad who Fury nutted didn't even flinch or react
  23. I think Usyk will need to win convincingly to get a decision with the Saudis desperate to make Fury vs AJ next - can see Usyk edging it by a round or 2 and not getting the decision.
  24. was hoping this would be on the red button today but doesn't look like it is:
