  1. No doubt, he doesn't hold a candle to Walsh or Macia yet and completely agree in exploring other leagues. Your point on parameters is important - he's had to work with different managers with different styles as Rudkin delegates this. If we had a strong DoF, I think he'd perform better. I still find it wild Congerton made it to Atalanta but then again, he got them Lookman having seen him up close here. Sorry, it's a just general trend in this social media era where someone is either crap or amazing when they're not either so trying to be more objective.
  2. Reportedly Villa are renewing his contract and loaning him to Hull.
  3. So you don't rate getting Hermansen and Fatawu? They were stellar signings. While Yunus didn't settle, he's also gone onto have a strong season. Mavididi was very effective last season as well. Agree that the 22/23 Jan window was horrible but then didn't you also say Tete was a great signing at the time (and also how much influence did he have on that given Rodgers was in charge?). I think it's having a balanced look. I wouldn't go as far as not having him one bit, but it's been very mixed output so far. He seems to do better in getting young players with potential than more established players.
  4. Agree, Glover's signings the previous season were very good. Not his fault we overpaid for Coady and Winks, and Winks was central to how Enzo wanted to play. This season, Skipp stands out as the stinker as well as Okoli given the amount of money spent. Suspect the former was a Cooper signing.
  5. RVN looks good from this - sounds like the players respect his authority and leadership, he told some home truths, and helped the players bond (also revealing who actually was the player in bootgate!) https://www.nytimes.com/athletic/6089346/2025/01/26/leicester-van-nistelrooy-tottenham/?source=emp_shared_article
  6. Tanner has revealed that bootgate was Facu, not Okoli! “Among them was Facundo Buonanotte, who Van Nistelrooy challenged in Spanish because he was unhappy he had chosen moulded studs on a wet pitch rather than longer studs and struggled to retain his footing during his brief cameo as a substitute.” Some other scoops as well: https://www.nytimes.com/athletic/6089346/2025/01/26/leicester-van-nistelrooy-tottenham/?source=emp_shared_article
  7. Thomas. A few posters said his contract expires in the summer but seen elsewhere it’s the following year.
  8. I’ve seen reports his contract was extended again for another year?
  9. I don’t get why we don’t sell, especially from a PSR view, as we now have cover with 3 FBs - Coulibaly, Justin and Kristensen.
  10. Put this in another thread but fits here as well: https://inews.co.uk/sport/football/leicester-fans-what-wrong-3498315
  11. This is a good read: https://inews.co.uk/sport/football/leicester-fans-what-wrong-3498315
  12. Perhaps, but his story likely damaged it already. Usually, the journalist will say 'the club denies this' or include a rebuttal from the club. For something to be removed, typically means the club have told him off the record it's factually inaccurate and backed it up somehow.
  13. Then why has he removed it from the article?
  14. For Percy to remove it from the article suggests he's not confident in his source now. He had a clear mission with the story, so perhaps was less diligent in verifying? Most of it is still there so doesn't mean the rest of it lacks credibility.
  15. Jason Bourne has tweeted he's at the press conference and first time speaking to RVN. Given his recent tweets, could be fireworks.
  16. But that highlights the problems with the club - it's too much led by the manager rather than the DoF having a grip of things.
  17. The RVN press conference today could be box office
  18. To be fair, the article says he rejected Hamburg as well - not a top flight club but one with high potential.
  19. According to Collomosse on the BSLB podcast, there were rumblings about Enzo too towards the end of previous season when we had that poor run.
  20. Top had a go at the players for letting the club down under Cooper. We're arguably seeing worse now under RVN. The logical thing is to back the manager and allow him to shift the culture like Pearson did but it would be a massive step change if they did.
  21. What a read, so depressing. You can tell Percy is annoyed by the secrecy at the club as well. Other things that stood out for me are Ward asked to be taken off at halftime vs. Wolves, RVN told fringe players asking why they didn’t play vs. QPR that the club doesn’t hand out Christmas presents and we are focusing on a winger on loan (but may be able to use the Cannon money as well). It’s an utter mess, although like RVN attempting to introduce discipline at the club.
  22. One thing that doesn’t stack up in the story is Percy said we’d triggered the appearance floor so we could keep Facu till the end of the season. But Collomosse says Brighton were tempted to call him back, so that doesn’t make sense.
  23. Yeah, that's surely the case. Maybe Monaco are getting this out there to hurry up other targets.
  24. No way are we allowing this surely:
  25. Yes @Ric Flair! These are exactly the types of signing we need.
