Obviously a difficult pitch to bat on but you must be pretty fed up with your teammates as a bowler. Back out there bowling again. Brook is the only one able to play with confidence, even if its misguided sometimes, another start for him. The rest are mentally done.

I don't know what to say about this They find new ways to surprise you when you wake up.

Accuracy is key, Australian bowlers aren't slow are they. They are just more consistent and bowl with better plans.

Can't read the link, Is this the game Key mentioned that was in adelaide? Better than nothing yes but would it prepare for a first test in Perth?

Listened to Rob Key speaking to Hussain and Atherton and to be fair I don't disagree with a lot of what he says. I would agree its poor execution rather than wrong teams (give or take) and if this side played near their best then we'd be far more competitive, obviously, but they haven't. Should've had a better preparation but I don't think Aussies make that easy in terms of giving them competitive games. Our county system roles over and lets Smith, Labuchange etc play a few rounds. Sheffield Shield only being 6 teams doesn't allow that, matter of time before another debate and comparisons with that and our county game Key mentioned that Brook will be at home for 6 days throughout the whole winter, I know they are treated well but it's still tough being away from home so I have no problem with the Noosa trip or the odd round of golf, but you to behave well. I'd give Key/McCullum to the next home Ashes, see if they've learnt anything from this tour. We can't carry a spinner that doesn't bat, so hopefully Rehan follows up last season with a good year in division 1. Feel a bit of Bethell in that the sense that it's not really his fault he has so little cricket, important year for him. Probably has to sack off the IPL to start the county season to see if he can nail down a place.

No problem with players relaxing on tour, no matter what the results are but use a bit of common sense FFS.

Watched the Champion of Champions last night and found Sam Campbell incredibly annoying, which is a shame because I thought he was quite funny in is series.

Why is it so bloody hard to win a test match in Australia? A single test, let alone a series. It fells different this time because there was expectation but its failed to deliver. Batters have let us down, don't win matches without big scores.

The guy that played MVG was fun, this guy is annoying.

Frustrating thing with Brook is that he's had plenty of starts. Got himself in and then got himself out, although got a good ball in the first innings. Like KP did, he'll look bad when he gets out but it's a productive shot for him.

I agree Ducketts average cuts him a bit of slack but he has been found wanting when it mattered most. You'll never get consistency from Crawley unfortunately but 2 half centuries and a 40 odd in 3 tests, considering he got a pair in 1 of the matches, shows he can do something. However having got into them positions, he should've gone on. Need a solid 3 behind him for when it doesn't come off and a middle order who can fire. Agree about Pope, you can add Sibley and Hameed to that list too. County cricket can highlight ability and give you confidence but it doesn't prepare you for test cricket. You need to be able to rise a level.

He's probably done as a number 3 but he will go back to county cricket and smash a load of runs and come back at 5/6 or even 7 as keeper.

More of an old fashioned ashes defeat this one. Bowlers have done well enough despite being inconsistent but batters unable to cope again. Some decent starts but not nearly enough. Always felt Duckett would struggle in Australia and he's been woeful again. Manages to escape a lot of criticism with Pope and Crawley either side of him.

Feel a bit sorry for these last games, it's a late start and decent amount of the crowd have left.

Real shame Beau couldn't deliver in the pressure moments because a win was there for her. Too many 50 something visits. She looked like she belonged on the big stage though which bodes well for the next year.

Be great for the sport if Greaves can play well and win.
