Jordan James joins on loan - Official

If it wasn't anything to do with illness or injury then he needs to work on his fitness, because he keeps getting dragged in midweek games because he's knackered by 60 minutes. That shouldn't be happening at his age, not at this stage of the season. -

The manager has not told the players to go and concede in the first minute. That's on the players having no common sense. But the game management after that was horrible and we never regained any control. -

Never a good sign if you can't work out where people are playing. -

Varying levels but it's good to 5 academy products on the pitch, wonder if we'll get Evans and Page on too. -

If he is ****ed JJ needs to work on his fitness. It's Daka coming on that's concerning and having Reid at centre midfield. Bring someone at right back and push Hamza in there. -

Last thing we needed was giving them a lift early. -
Players are trying to win fouls every corner now thanks to VAR.

Soft but probably a pen. Was about t9 shout at the TV for him not shooting. Sums up the arrogance of Ayew a bit but it's gone in so who cares. -

Wish we had a bit longer to enjoy the weekend result, just feel it's inevitable we come back down to earth with another midweek shocker tonight. -
Not sure what's taking so long, clearly handball. It changes the direction of the ball.

If I was Wood, I would turn my attention to earning some money in T20 or even T10 competitions.
-
That'll be Wood done now, in Test cricket anyway. I think it was always going to be his last tour anyway.

Find it hard to dislike Maddison. Speaking well of his time at Leicester. -
It does make sense but with all the inevitable time wasting, 5 subs, var checks, player arguments, goal celebrations (in tournament football these sometimes get ridiculous), I'd be surprised if the ball is in play for more than 20 minutes a half

They'll put Liverpool v Barnsley on TV somewhere. They are nit usually bothered about Man City games against lower league teams unless there is nothing else. Spurs v Villa, man utd v Brighton, Charlton v Chelsea, Portsmouth v arsenal all guaranteed to be on. I'd imagine they'll puy Wrexham v Forest on a Thursday or something as well.

A lot of players have fallen into the trap of baz-ball being a go for it at all times motto when I don't think Stokes actually wants this. First time I've seen him look visibly annoyed and questioned the attitudes. Stokes wants his side to be aggressive and back themselves but that doesn't mean be stupid. However, you can't deny he's made mistakes as captain too, both in game and with the preparation. As been said already, we've lost matches in Australia playing all types of styles but it's a horrible look when it appears so carefree. The bowlers get stick, and they did bowl poorly, and there is no point Archer being all aggressive and having words when the game is lost. Think it was Broad that I heard saying that too many players, particularly the bowlers, aren't making their own minds up, setting their own fields or deciding what they want to do it. Not sure if that's whether they feel they aren't allowed to or just aren't capable.

Really hope we can give Aluko another shot, this time at right back. I'd be worried about playing Nelson again having just come back but it would mean Faes has to start. Have to accept Thomas is probably our best option at left back. Probably play Daka for Ayew and then the rest stays the same. -

Salah is being an absolute bellend. I argued with my mate from work that he would be shit to extend his contract. -
Decent kick off times for England in terms of watching it, but not in terms of playing in it.

Everton up to 5th. Anyway think Moyes is on the way of management and then he does another unfashionably good job.
