  4. Don't worry lots of posh white boys died too. Lt Roy was a volunteer who didn't have to go.
  5. Didn't stop this chap Indra Lal Roy
  6. The point is that the blokes that were turned down was simply because they were white men and the targets were unrealistic anyway
  7. A female Group Captain felt the need to resign due to the pressure she was under to meet targets. How many potential top pilots missed out? Men that wanted to help defend the country
  8. The RAF did admit to bias against white men candidates to meet diversity targets. This is not to say the tests were different but that candidates were turned down to meet diversity targets.
  9. Did the tribunal ever settle the fee for Nyoni ?
  10. Both Hatton and Calzaghe certainly modern day greats. Going back to past eras when boxers fought more before getting a sniff of a world title fight the likes of Ted Kid Lewis and Jack Kid Berg deserve to be remembered
  11. System works well as it is. Stop sodding about with things that don't need attention
  12. But football is not like that on any given day. Under the circumstances an away draw after going down to 10 men after 25 minutes or so is not so bad. If you can't win don't lose and we didn't
  13. If reds were given for that every match would ruined. Now I know why I like international breaks
  14. A lot of jumping to conclusions without full facts
  15. Surely the focus is not going to be on the rights or wrongs of the father turning him in
  16. Plenty old enough to commit a ghastly act and to face the consequences
  17. Growing up in the 60s even from afar as a child the shootings of JFK, Dr King, Malcolm X and RFK left a deep feeling of horror
  18. I was at work and a chap came back from lunch and said a plane had flown into The Trade Center. I said what a light aircraft as in an accident and he replied no an airliner. Completely shocked as the day went on
  19. I saw a bit on BBC Cricket on internet
  20. Thanks. Yes funny I remember them as more dynamic but at least the action recorded for posterity. Redknapp, Lampard snr, The Birch, Sammels and all. Mistake by Graham Cross redeemed by his equaliser.
  21. Remember Shilton had a great game for us away at West Ham in around 1971 72 season. 1-1 draw with Graham Cross scoring our goal
  22. Seems like madness to me and why would anyone be interested
