That team should never have been relegated cos it had barnes and Maddison in it scoring goals all the players that performed from that season have gone

I’m very worried because: we still haven’t signed a striker so left with the same ones we had when relegated we still haven’t signed a midfielder to replace our best player todays team is the same defence that was absolutely useless when we got relegated (less ward) Never mind the points deduction coming things ain’t looking great right now

Probably been said already but the great escape run started as soon as he came in the side (with change in formation) it was no coincidence - if he doesn’t play those games we probably get relegated. Obviously things went from strength to strength over the next few years he was so good - and free!!

Amazing that he’s signed again and will be devastated when he finally doesn’t sign another one. I would think his contract has at least been halved at his age though

Problem was we would have been negotiating contracts the season we were last in the prem but as we were so shit and didn’t know what league we were gonna be in they couldn’t negotiate with anyone and so another 2 years off everyone’s contracts has led to this

You think Rudkin and co do any kind of budgeting?

Couldn’t love this man more, what he did that season was and will always be unbelievable. Was about in tears when we sacked him although it was probably the right decision.

The irony that our balance sheet is in a better position than Leeds is lost on everyone which makes these rules even more annoying

That’s what I want to hear, I don’t see the point in selling your best player to avoid something like another couple of points deduction- he’ll be worth more than that over a season
