  1. It depends when brendan leaves us. If he leaves us in december bottom of the table then lets be honest, we will all be screaming Nigel Pearson come in and save us pls. If in the unlikely case he goes to newcastle next week, we'll be in a real pickle. No prem manager will leave their teams mid season so Frank/Potter will be unavailable. Can't really see anyone atm who is available anyway who could really do the job for leicester. If he leaves at the end of this season with like a top half finish and everything just decent with good cup runs and a europa run then we can look to some of these guys. who knows but circumstances are important
  2. I sometimes feel like the only one who really dislikes mendy as a footballer. He had a couple good games in his 3-4 years at leicester, notably against man city. Apart from that he has been pretty dreadful. Rarely wins the ball back or does anything of note going forward. His only benefits compared to hamza are that he can stand in the right position and he can pass (although he seems incapable of passing forward and will kill any counter attack when he does magically win a ball back) Not good enough for the PL imo but I do think i'm in the minority here which is quite interesting.
  3. And which two centre backs have you seen capable of providing an adequate defence in a back four? especially with a 2 man midfield. tried against palace, it didnt work. At times nacho sunk so deep he was practically another midfielder and it still didnt work. every attack palace opened us up and they dominated the midfield throughout. So no, it doesnt really work tbh without two good, effective cb's
  4. 3 - 5 - 2. Schmeichel Amartey Soyoncu Benko (maybe veste depending on how benko does but try him - maybe even james when he returns he always put a shift in and can drive the ball forward) Soumare tielemens maddison/KDH/choudary- try all of them out and see which one works Pereira/castange/james and barnes/lookman. one defensive one offensive wing back Kels - Vards Anyone who wants to put kel and vards up front must know that our defensive is too bad not to have either 5 at the back or 3 in midfield. I agree kels and vards must play together but this comes at the sacrifice of wingers until we get our best cb back. 4 4 2 doesnt work proven by palace as our cb's are just sooooo bad atm that we need to protect them or keep shipping goals.
  5. Growing up in the Levein, Holloway era I was just too young to see the likes of Peter Taylor. However, I can safely say that the football played by Levein and Holloway makes me glad I did not see the era before that. It was just dreadful, depressing and dreadfully depressing. I think for me in what I saw, Holloway takes it. There was just nothing positive to say about that season and the football we played...dire
  6. Pretty grim group as we got a lot of the dangerous teams. But then if you're looking from the outside we are also a danger team so...
  7. Would love to see the polling numbers of support for perez. Gotta be almost unanimous sale at this poit
  8. I think Hamza going on loan is a good thing. A lot of people say he just isnt good enough but for me when I see him play I just see a complete lack of confidence. Most of us remember his breakthrough season and the tackles of left, right and centre. Sure it was very unrefined but we never see that anymore. I think that comes from a complete lack of confidence in his own abilities not to get a red card for a disgusting tackle. He also has problems on the ball which no one can deny One thing for sure is that he has had too many opportunities at leicester to rectify these problems and he has failed every time. Thats not to say he can't be a good rotation for Ndidi one day. I'm hoping a loan move to newcastle will help him get his confidence and aggression back which made him so highly rated in the first place while also giving him the experience he needs so that he can keep his composure when he is on the ball. There is a footballer somewhere in him but I think his track record and obliterated confidence has made him sub-par the last two years. If newcastle want to try and bring it out of him then be my guest. On Mendy, he is just not good enough, and never will be good enough, to be a rotation for Ndidi. His defensive side of the game is mediocre. He is clearly no kante. He rarely makes tackles, he isnt quick, he isnt strong, he isnt skillfull, he isnt clever. At best he is a body in the centre of the park. Going forward is even worse. I have never seen him pass forward. Its always sideways and backwards. Thats fine for the most part, we dont need our cdm to be spraying passes forward. This guy however could be given the ball on a great counter attack and still manage to pass it backwards killing the attack off. Whether Hamza can still build himself up to be a good rotation player, it is clear for me that Mendy isn't and never has been good enough for the prem. I can't see any skills he brings to the team and would rather be rid of him now
