  1. I had the ultimate respect for Dickov for that celebration against us in the cup, rather than that not celebrating ex club bullsh#t, whoever he played for he gave everything for his team, played like a Terrier and he scored plenty for us in the same way.
  2. Fulham away , in august 2008. Just been relegated to league 1 and it was in the league cup they were in the premier league.. Filled the away end and everybody there was committed, didn’t stop singing to a virtually empty stadium. 1-0 down at halftime. Dickov then scored an equalizer about 46 minutes in then about 2 minutes later Andy king banged it in from 18 yards made it 2-1, absolute scenes in that away end. I was at the front and Dickov was just screaming in our faces loving it 😅. Even though we lost 3-2, I knew we would be alright after that match with the new manager Pearson.
  3. What happened at halftime in concourse. My mate is a gooner at the game, said there were tons of police heading through to the away section past them, probably exaggerating 😅
  4. Was in a bar in Tbilisi, Georgia, watching Leicester/Newcastle in the great escape year. 10 minutes into the game, a guy walks in a full leicester shirt and a city cap, and says in American accent not missed a goal yet. Turns out he supported city since the 1980s from Ohio and was in tbilisi for business. He sat with us, we got absolutely loaded and celebrating every goal with him it was like with a guy from my home town. He gave me his details, but was so wrecked on there local drink chacha I lost it, but always thought of him celebrating the title in Ohio 😅
  5. One of the best memories of the European trips, was standing outside the bar in Randers, p*sing it down, police around us waiting for an escort to the stadium, everyone singing ‘there’s only one Nigel pearson’, still my favorite manager by a country mile. Remember going Fulham away in league 1, august in the league cup we lost 3-2. But they were in the premier at the time & we more than matched them, at full time he came over and tolds all the players as well, gave us a proper clap and also with the performance, went away thinking things he’s definitely different to the shite managers we had been through at that time.
  6. You weren't in the bottom tier then, they were continually hitting people, second half and at the end of game especially.
  7. Exactly, I had 1.5 litre bottle full of yellow water hit me square in the chest, luckily had the top on, didn't see it coming either as watching the game and still have the bruise now. afterwards a guy comes over and says 'dont worry mate, I chucked it back and smacked a fooker straight on the head' didn't know how to respond 😅
  8. Bad news for anyone flying to Gatwick, just seen the flights been canceled, if anyones getting ready to come to the airport now, best check.
  9. Few of us heading to Flann O’Briens at 20.30 will p check it out
  10. Just thinking the same, left at 6am yesterday from Moscow, overland just arrived in rome 6.30pm, train journey Naples to rome just received 50 euro fine for wrong ticket 😅 has to be worth it, if were all celebrating at the end!
  11. Mines just arrived, glad to see it's see it's only photo id needed. all Italian games I've gone to always used my driving licence, not a chance taking my passport out for the day on the sauce.
  12. Yep 100% will be unreserved seating, getting in early for a decent spot. Also the way the stadiums laid out, its immense watching it fill up, especially the curva sud for roma or opposite for lazio, with the banners and the atmosphere building up to kick off. I'm taking it all in 😅
  13. True would like to take 5k, but then i would rather have 700 away fans like in randers, which was a belter of an away end than the 3000 at Atletico Madrid. Which was so flat and disappointing and seemed full of day tripper and staff friends. 🤷🏼
  14. Im flying in on Wednesday to Naples land at 3pm, from before getting through airport etc for the Naples game, I booked the 4.55pm train to rome,
  15. I was there in 2014 and 2019 as an away fan everyone was put on the buses, but Actually do remember one family getting through the exit part outside. So guess if your staying near by the stadium but not a chance if you wanted to head back to the city yourself 🤷🏼
  16. Your held back for so long, like 2 hours when I was there, it then takes ages to all get on buses, then all en masse escort to the city. By the time you get off, no one is about, just a few smack heads lingering about termini.
  17. That's exactly what happened when I went roma away for a Champions league game. All kept on buses outside the away end, taken out singly , then recorded with us holding our passport. Took ages, I will happily risk the hour walk to the stadium than that again. Lock in and buses on way back, will be annoying enough.
  18. Our ticket office is a joke, also this ticket collection, it's all about who you know with them. one guy all matey in Eindhoven , picked up multiple tickets with a bunch of passports. not a chance they let us do that in Madrid when we asked.
  19. That bridge in question, I found a bit embarrassing, when I was there for a match as an away fan, the police spotted we weren't Italian so escorted us over it which is actually a 2 minute walk, then just left us on the other side to walk to the stadium!
  20. Yes they did, I saw it myself there was 12 Russian injured and stabbed when I went there in 2014. Anyways, all I said was that I've personally booked next to roma termini, as I expect that's where's the buses might drop us off after the match finishes, so can walk back to hotel etc
  21. Because I live there, what else are you going to do, need to watch some football 🤷🏼
  22. Yep, I've been to roma twice away following Cska Moscow there, both times everyone just made there own way up there on public buses, then on way back we were locked in for ages and then all taken by buses to Roma Termini. So that's where I'm staying, as after the game normally wrecked, so a few eatery's and hotels in walking distance.
  23. When collecting tickets can we bring driving licence as id, or has to be passport, hate taking it with me when boozing!
  24. Leicester vs Blackburn play off final 1992, asking the old man who absolutely hates football to take me. Said only if they beat Cambridge first in play offs, checking on teletext that night and they won 5-0, jumping around the lounge like an idiot. After the game at Wembley, said I can go next season to the games but I'm not taking you. Straight into pen 2 with my school mates never looked back or been to a game with the old man since!
