  1. Ooh jamie Vardy.
  2. Superb finish by Fatawu. Vardy is on fire xx
  3. Sir Vardy looks well up for this.
  4. This is it. Our most important game (so far) of the season. COYB. 💙🦊
  5. Win tonight and it’s one win from 2 needed. COYB.
  6. I’d just like to see our wingers take the handbrake off and go full flow. You have to take some risks in the final third but too often they pause and stop, a few step overs then go backwards. They are both capable of it. Against West Brom they both also cut down to the line and delivered good crosses with their respective weaker foots. Fatawus led to a goal. Strikers thrive on that and if the ball doesn’t come across eventually stop looking so often and make those runs. As you say it all happens in unison. No point holding back now especially tonight.
  7. Yes me too. I’m always rubbish on match days. Just want to get it started but I am nervous for this one which is unusual. Just got a feeling. I hope I’m wrong. Probably just its importance.
  8. A good friend of mine is a Southampton fan. The most decent fellow you could ever meet. I’m hoping they go up with us. Funnily enough though the missus is not a fan. We have been to quite a few Southampton games over the year and the one time we sat next to the away fans was during one of those games. There were a few kids gesturing and a bit rowdy that’s all. It’s an unjustified stance as she has seen a few scuffles at the likes of Man Utd Leeds Liverpool millwall and Chelsea but Southampton always sticks in her mind.
  9. I think it’s best to prepare yourself for that as it has a fair chance of happening. If we do it before then it’s a bonus. Both Leeds and ourselves were lucky to win our last game but both showed resilience and fight. The same will be needed tonight. I suspect it may be a draw or a close 2-1 win again. It doesn’t matter how we win just get us over the line and next season will take care of itself.
  10. We need to be more clinical full stop and to make the right decisions in the final third and play with attacking intent. Patience will be key too at the right time. I hope Mavididi was watching Summerville last night because that’s what we need from him and likewise Fatawu on the right. The West Brom game wasn’t great but there were promising signs that both were getting their mojo back when they dropped their shoulders and out in good crosses from the line with the wrong foot. They need to do that to put doubt in the defenders mind making it easier to go the other way and put that curler into the far corner of the net. Summerville is some player though as is Gnonto.
  11. I’ve been thinking that since Christmas. At a push Southampton but definitely not Leeds.
  12. Totally. Amateur stuff from the linesman. The boro defenders had clearly moved up and left bamford and gnonto off. You would be disappointed if that wasn’t spotted in a Sunday league match.
  13. Well done young Luke
  14. I largely agree with all of this apart from the last point on missing chances. Conversion rate is so important at all levels. Just look at our success in the title winning season and the period 2019-2022. The same applies for all clubs particularly at the top level. I don’t think that is all on the manager mind you. I do like Enzo but I do think the lack of evolution or flexibility is an issue. This may come as he really is a novice still in this role. I don’t think the players don’t care. I believe it is more down to confidence and momentum which has waned since the first half of the season. Resilience ambition and character are important qualities . It is a difficult decision whether to stick or twist next year but I’d wager we will take the well trodden path of do nothing until it is obvious we need to.
  15. Control games but not necessarily score and win.
  16. He has had several commendable performances in the past when bought in as a stand in central defender or defensive midfielder. Given that he is rarely a starter he does a very good job on the whole. He is probably just not quite at the level to oust one of the regular starters which is a bit chicken and egg really.
  17. It’s great to see Vardy still has that presence. Very evident today.
  18. We all want to be champions and to be promoted asap. If Leeds lose on Monday and we beat Southampton on Tuesday we are promoted. With the pressure off we may see a return to earlier form. Football is a funny old game though and the job is not done yet.
  19. We win two games. We just have to focus on that and not rely on anyone else. I expect it to be settled on the final day though.
  20. Yes it wasn’t pretty and we were sloppy at times but the amount of fight was noticeably improved led by hamza and Vardy. We did get a bit lucky but as you say about time. I thought West Brom looked a good team and a physically strong team but we stood up well. I do think Coady made more difference but I’m surprised we didnt make changes on the right hand side although Fatawu tracked back more second half. We did look very nervous at times particularly in midfield but we that lessened as the game went on. I’ll take a win at any time but I’m buzzing now. Southampton will be possibly more difficult but if we compete like that we have a good chance of the support get behind us again like today.
  21. If Southampton win today they go level with Leeds and same amount of games played.
  22. Longest six minutes since the cup final.
  23. Made didn’t spread himself well then. He got caught side on. Should have made him work harder there.
