  1. Nacho come on.
  2. Vesty should have done better there.
  3. Why doesn’t Kel follow in when KDH heads it back across the goal line. He is a great finisher but just doesn’t seem to be bothered some times.
  4. Can’t wait for this. Let’s start faster and show plenty of passion and teamwork. COYB 💙🦊
  5. I am not sure his first touch is better than Harry’s or his general control. The midfield position for England is a very difficult one to break into as Maddison has found but nevertheless he is a great player and one of the best home grown talents we have produced particularly in his position.
  6. I had exactly the same experience of Maine road. Seeing cars left teetering on bricks was quite a persuasive ploy but I came away unscathed. In fact the only issue I have ever had was in our own fair city. Just bad luck I think.
  7. I’m not too bothered about the whole England thing. Breaking into that team would be very difficult even if we were in the premiership. I do think Winks has been one of our best buys in recent years though. I knew he was a skilful and tidy player but his tremendous tenacity and work rate have impressed me very much. Rapidly become one of my favourate players.
  8. Spot on. Ampadeu and kamara won that midfield battle far too often. They looked sharper and more intense particularly at the start of each half. Cesare sadly just wasn’t quite at the races and this was a game where we really missed Wilf. An area we may need to address in the January window along with more cover for full back and possibly in attack. Kamara in particular looks like an astute buy for Leeds.
  9. Fatawu definitely faded a bit after a brilliant first half. Kasey would surely have come on after 60 minutes or so if fit. I think we missed Wilf a bit today too as we seemed a bit light in midfield. I like Casado but too often lost possession. I think he will come good in time but we do need more options as injuries inevitably happen. Ricky P was superb again today but I worry about our options if he gets injured.
  10. We seem to have slipped back into the habit of starting slowly again in each half. Maybe that is in part due to the hectic schedule but we did look a bit lacklustre today in the first ten minutes of each half. To be fair we were able to come back into the game but in the final third we didn’t always seem willing to take risks or able to get enough bodies into dangerous positions. Some credit to Leeds though who looked really up for it. Overall though we weren’t that bad and did create enough chances to come away with something tonight. Still a good night under the lights though despite the disappointing scoreline.
  11. Agreed. Too often we didn’t seem to get enough numbers in the box despite getting some decent openings. I’d like to see the opposing winger get on the far post more often too when we attack down the wing. At least mix it up a bit.
  12. Spot on. It’s not rocket science that he has made a lot of difference this season. I am expecting a tough game Friday night and it will be the best marker we have had so far this season of our recent progress. It’s not a must win game though. I would feel more comfortable if Wilf was fit and available. His experience and athleticism would be a big plus in this one.
  13. Well done Harry. Let’s have another one.
  14. Never say never. He definitely impressed tonight. I was also impressed by the Sunderland movement speed and tenacity. For a young team they really got stuck in and were good on the ball and always keen to find space and receive the ball. That said they could probably do with another good experienced leader/ general. They will definitely be up in the top six if tonight is anything to go by.
  15. hamza time
  16. Agreed just need to convert another chance. Riccardo been very good again.
  17. I have to say I’m impressed with Sunderland’s movement off the ball when in possession. Always looking for space.
  18. That was definitely a penalty. 😀
  19. Cesare doing a lot better today shame he hasn’t got his shooting boots on though. Likewise Kel.
  20. I was the opposite I thought he left the direction to get the ball and purposefully ran into Faes leg. Silly challenge by Faes but not a pen
  21. They know how to out it about. Give them that.
  22. Wasn’t a penalty by Faes. Their lad ran into his leg to get the touch. He didn’t even try to follow the ball
  23. These are a good quick young team but after a difficult start we came in and competed well and deserve to be ahead. Silly card for Kel to get. Should concentrate on his first touch rather than clapping the ref.
  24. He’d have probably kept rogers in his job.
  25. Mass really is a top goalkeeper. If only we had him last year.
