The Roma defeat was the final straw for me and it really exhausted my emoticons and frustration. The 2 seasons of failed champions league qualification was the first hint of it. We just feel away at the end of those seasons and the way we fell away was surprising and disappointing. It wasn't so much the result at Roma but the performance. It was an example of the whole season. Alongside the fact that it was the second European Cup to be knocked out of where we just failed to turn up. These performances have been happening for a few years now and what we are experiencing now is the pure dregs of the barrel. I liked Rodgers and wanted him to succeed but he really needs to go and not be greedy like Fofana.

Agreed, but I was disappointed in a 1 on 1 that he didn't make himself bigger enough. His arms are down by his side and he flaps at the ball. Maybe it's from watching kasper over the years making himself big in those occasions

Southampton are sitting back and there isn't alot of space for maddison and perez and Barnes to get into and link up with vardy. We always struggle like this, hopefully saints open it up and attack more in the second half which we will be more suited to. Castagne had a good first half but I don't think Perez is suited for him unlike the Justin/Barnes relationship.

This formation is killing us but then when we had 4 at the back we fell apart. Maybe arsenal's movement was just too good for us. What frustrates me is we cannot track any players running in behind, even from a throw in. Defending is atrocious - what is kolo toure bringing to us? Apart from a boat load of goals.

This sums up our season. We simply aren't good enough. We don't have any attacking intent anymore. Going into tonight, it's the mentality of "go a goal behind, we will turn up". Otherwise, penalties... The disappointment of coming to Italy (second time this season) and seeing another disappointing performance is so frustrating. We have nothing to play for. Rodgers said on Friday (again) that we need to work on defending set pieces. Big summer window for rodgers, he will be judged next season on who he recruits. With no European football (less games), is top four too much to ask for?

Spurs weren't the best, we were just extremely poor. Perez - He doesn't provide a left wing alternative which meant Thomas had to keep playing back and he's too lightweight. Needs to be sold. Soumare - looks off the pace and needs a good pre season. Rodgers wants him to play more forward but he needs more direction. Thomas - had a good season but looked a little out of depth today. One for the future. All season, we've passed it around but not had much conviction. Barnes gives us that direct attacking run to the byline/into the final third. Normally, we use full backs that would overlap. Without the above two, we lack penetration and a goal threat. I expected a hammering today so not suprised by the result.

Albrighton looks out of his depth but the strength of him is his crossing. Kdh and fofana looking quality. Lookman surprisingly doing well. Maddison needs to put his shooting boots on at half time, he will make the difference here.

Got my ticket at 8am. Looking forward to another game minus the clappers and Bruno Mars. Hopefully the players turn up to this game in Italy..
