Yes I remember chatting with him on a trip to Arsenal on a Tuesday night about 10 years ago. A very unassuming guy and probably had difficulties living up to his image when all he’s ever been is a top man.

We really need 11 or 15 players like him. The lad has so much passion and commitment. As you say he was terrible yesterday but I'd support him and 15 of him every day of the week. I think we will if say Hamza and James go this week and we manage to say get rid of Winks and Soumare too by the end of the window. Hopefully we can also bring in a striker and a couple of midfielders. If he plays the youth I think the fans will get behind. We’re fed up of watching the likes of Vesty, BDCR, Soumare etc just not being good enough or not trying

I think it’s dawning on Marti the size of the job but if he cuts away the diseased players and brings through a young high energy team the majority of fans will back him as it’s clear that’s what we’ve needed for some time.

I think the finger can be pointed at individuals. There are just a lot of individuals. There are more trying to fake it than putting in genuine 100% effort.

He’s only been in the role 4 weeks. He is making mistakes but it’s literally impossible to pick a worthy starting 11. He needs time to get rid of more dross and hopefully bring in and bring through players with the right mentality and who will fit into his system.

Faes has more attributes but is another bomb scare of course. You need to have a proper talk to him and get him in the right frame of mind.
