We didn't scrape anything, and even with an on the beach performance on the last day we were 7 points (plus goal difference) points clear of the playoffs. The Championship is a grind, as all the teams in the top 6 found out as everyone stopped winning every week. It was proven that clear heads and not panicking was needed. 97 points, and people behave like we scraped through the playoffs after coming 6th. Lots of this good work has been lost now. The next appointment is key. In the grand scheme of things our manager (and his team) has now been elevated to a top 6 position, and we are unsure if we can even hire for Championship managers who didn't cut it in the playoffs. Its not doom and gloom, but in my opinion we are in a far worse position than we were 2 weeks ago.

Depends on Salary. As ex PL managers, you would expect Moyes / Potter and Marsch () to command higher salaries. Need to offset that against any severance. When Leeds were interested in Corberan last year it was quoted the £2mil to break his contract. Not huge in the grand scheme of things when you can pay him less.

Not panicking. Just saying as it is. One of the best things about coming top and getting promoted as we did is the confidence it carries over to the next season. We've lost all that.

I don’t think we will see him playing for us this season. Good news is Jakub is decent. I doubt we will be playing out the back as much but Jakub was ok with his feet anyway. Probably need to retain Iversen as no 2?
