  1. Really want a bucket hat (im the wrong age - but love the hat). Always OOS when i check
  2. Do the hats sell well?
  3. If you did a 'Dogs of War' t-shirt i would buy them all.
  4. Thanks - great summary. Right now, points deductions this season almost seem to be designed to push the club 'nearer' relegation, but give them every chance of surviving. Forest 1 point from relegation gives them every chance of surviving. If it gets closer, i even expect an appeal to be on the cards that drops it to 2 points. Everton start shitting the bed and move to a 6 point reduction. My concern is that now the cat is out of the bag, future deductions won't be so pragmatic. Every club has had their warning. This is a terrible place for football to have ended up in. The amount of time and energy (and cost) spent on Lawyers is going to be eye watering, and a new world of issues has already been created. We've created a bigger problem that was trying to be solved.
  5. I combination of 'very' and 'nervy'.
  6. So if you are Villa, you just say **** it right right, which is largely what we should have done summer 2022. You ride out a 4 point deduction and push for Europa / Champions League in the hope the revenue you get offsets the costs.
  7. But couldn't actually make any more subs......
  8. So many who comment on this aren't watching any of the teams play. Someone made a comment about Southampton being excellent the other day, but the last few times I have watched them they've been really poor. The run in is going to be vervy for everyone.
  9. Seems they are picking numbers where the team are likely to stay safe. That makes them 1 point from safety and i would still bet on them scraping though it. 6 points would have made it that little bit harder. Knowing our luck next season is the one where the PL don't care and are willing to go harder on clubs.
  10. How do you know its a 'disgrace'? At the end of the day he's paid to do a job but in this sport you aren't guaranteed to get what you want when you want. He could still play a significant role in the run in, as I think Faes might get dropped following his trip with Belgium. Regarding QPR, i'm convinced it was about pace. Nelson is far more mobile, and to be fair, it wasn't as if he didn't deserve his chance is it? If we played Coady and lost 1-2 all the fans will be whining that Enzo didn't give the yoooth a chance.
  11. For me, it wasn't about having the better stats to win the game. We were unlikely going to have more possession or shots. It was about if we could give a decent account of ourselves, and hand on heart I think that team did better at Stamford Bridge than Rodgers team did last season. In certain parts of the game i felt we did ok, and for big chunks of it you could see where we had problems. We looked no worse against them than Newcastle were on Monday. Chelsea are a basket case, and let us back into it (which they did to Newcastle as well), but just before we got to 2-2 i thought we were playing with more confidence and at times looked ok. The biggest issue was undoubtedly our defence facing pacy attackers, which Chelsea have in abundance. Regarding your last point about only having 5 shots, i need to remind you that QPR beat us 1-2 only having 3 shots in the game (2 on target). Middlesbrough beat us with 2 shots on target as well (5 shots in the game). If the sending off hadn't happened, the game 'could' have gone either way.
  12. Really - thought Wilf was pretty good. he certainly needed the minutes.
  13. Yes, but it was one of those soft as pi55 ones as he goes down hard because he clipped his own legs. If Jackson wanted to stay on his feet he could have. But as someone else said, Vardy (and Maddison as well) have done this shizzle for years.
  14. Nice! Is the Nitrosurge stuff worth it? Love a Guinness but can never bring myself not to have it down a pub. Oh dear..... Oh dear..... Oh dear.....
  15. Southamptons 6 game form is roughly the same as ours. Why think we lose before we kick a ball?
  16. But nothing has changed. Ipswich and Leeds did what we thought they would do, and for a lot of the game today we did alright against Chelsea.
  17. 2 game form has us above Ipswich None of this really means much.
  18. Well, to be fair, it isn’t really. I don’t believe it’s possible we win all our remaining games. I also don’t believe Leeds and Ipswich do either. Luck will play a huge role over the course of the run in (looking at you Ipswich), as will the appetite of the opposition in each game to put a shift in. Then there are the referees, who’s incompetence could be the fine margin needed for one of the top 3. The preceding 37 games don’t mean much anymore, other than they got us into this position. What matters is what we do from here and hope one of the other 2 slip up more than we do.
  19. I thought it tended to go to the team with the most points after 46 games? As things stand we have won the most games yet drawn the fewest. Yes, we have lost one more game than Leeds. Lets knuckle down for a 9 game scrap.
  20. Its a 3 way battle for the top 2 slots. Team and the fans have got to rise to the challenge. We have lost all but the thinnest of margins so there is no room for error.
  21. ffs - cant believe i have to write this. Firstly, there are 2 points in it and Chelsea have a game in hand. Secondly, it doesn't mean that on any day any team will put in a performance befitting of that table position differential especially when you consider these are cup games where teams rotate their main squad. We beat Bournemouth a few weeks back whos 6 game form is better than Chelsea. Doesn't really mean anything at all. Chelseas biggest issue is putting any sort of consistent performance or run of performances together, but on any day they have the quality to put most team away. For the record, i thought Cov played really well and for most of that game Wolves were really poor. Would have backed us for a result against Wolves yesterday.
  22. Melters have been waiting for this moment all weekend, even though it was largely inevitable. Call anyone out on it and you get labelled a happy clapper. This hasn't happened yet! Everything is there to play for. Get the international break out of the way and lets get back to the job in hand.
  23. Fwiw, these are my thoughts. Firstly, pelters are out for Enzo again but i personally don't think the style looked at of place against a PL who should be doing better than they are. At times we were able to control significant spells of play and thought we looked more dangerous through the centre of the pitch that usual. There are a section of our fanbase that want the style to fail, but i think our games against Bournemouth and Chelsea don't give me any cause for concern. We will need better players, but that would be the case regardless of the system we played. Most of our defence is going to be too slow to cope with pacey attacks (Doyle included, even if he did take one for the team today). We already knew this. Bournemouth showed we might be able to deal with it for bottom half Prem teams, but the elite are going to have a lot of chances against us. We are blessed with 2 very good goalkeepers and Jakub today did himself proud despite the scoreline, and his distribution was fine (i thought anyway). KDH stepped it up today. Don't know if this is because Ndidi had a better game or if he's mentally dropped off a bit against Championship teams. Part of me thought he was putting himself in the shop window. He was one of the better players out there for either team. I thought Ndidi looked really good, and gives me a lot of hope for the rest of the season, especially if we get Riccy P back. We are still playing really reserved in the final 3rd. Not taking enough shots, not taking our chances. Daka is a great presser, but he's not looking dangerous anymore. This is my big concern going into the final 9 games. Abdul has a way to go to reach his potential. He overplayed today and was overthinking. Looked good at times though - the potential is there. The games gives me confidence and im hoping his goal gives Mavididi confidence too.
  24. That isn't how football works!
  25. Seen better players miss worse, like Sterling today. How about the perfectly good one he put away that was wrongly chalked off?
