  1. Manning is a complete pr1ck. The second he was appointed we should have been looking to bring Alves back.
  2. The clubs made that clear. Hes been brought in as a winger.
  3. This is where the academy needs to come in to our long term planning, and anyone who we bring in has to be part of that journey. There is great talent there in each position. Use them, play them and develop then. Even in the very younger age groups there are gems coming through.
  4. Sounding like a broken record, but we are 1 week away from a must win game and then Middlesborough away a few days later. Assuming not the single hint of a tangible rumour, there is no way we are hiring someone in time to take training and prep for those games. Someone would have to be with them and watching today, ready to take training Monday. Its going to be King for the next 2, and then if someone comes in they will have a couple of days prep for Norwich. I would put a bet on King taking that too. Brilliant isnt it.
  5. King (and likely Saddler too) showed they didnt have the tactical nouse to deal with either Southamptons tactical changes or our failing mentality and energy levels. It was staring them both in the face very early in that 2nd half and they didnt react, and then when they did react the changes were outright bizarre. King isn't just going to learn from his mistakes in 1 game. If he has a future in management he probably needs to step down a few tiers and learn the hard way. This is not the job for him right now. Today, play fringe players and academy lads who didnt play yesterday. We need a proper manager.
  6. Top and Rudkin will need to accept change if they bring in Pearson. Depends on how absolutely bloody minded they are, even in our current predicament.
  7. Our TV viewing figures have got to be in the hundreds right?
  8. Err - got sacked late last night. How many people walk into a new job right away after getting sacked. If he has half a brain he gets all his stuff in order with Forest (which will take time - if i was his legal team i would be looking very closely at everything that has gone on there). If everything is at it should be, he will receive a good pay off that will very likely be linked with him not having another job for now. Even if it takes Dyche a month to get everything in order (this is Forest - i bet they will just throw money at their own legal team), thats far too much time for us. We need someone in to be with the team before the Stoke game. We need to be on this - now! So yeah, for the right price and the right contract, Dyche might come here. But several hours after being sacked is he taking a 13 game contract before he fully understands his Forest severance? I just dont see it.
  9. I agree thy will. We are both run awfully, just in different ways. Think forest will sack their next before we have hired ours.
  10. Why will he just take a contract until the end of the season? He will be negotiating severance from Forest and will be getting paid out for a fair chunk of that whilst not working, and there will be clubs willing to give him a 3 year contract.l soon. The list of managers willing to take a 13 game contract for a team 4th from bottom of the championship is very, very small.
  11. But the point is he wont see himself as a lower end Championship manager fighting a relegation battle. He will still believe there are PL teams waiting for him at the right time. Next season there will be 3 new ones waiting to pull the trigger.
  12. our hierarchy most definitely dictate how we play. And the would look at Dyche for sure. But he’d only be it if he agreed a possession orietnated 4-3-3 and to do it for peanuts.
  13. Forest isn’t the problem. Forest at this rate going to have 6 managers this season. We can’t discard ex forest managers anymore because we eliminate about half the mangers available to us ( based on Tops and Rudkins hiring criteria). The problem is he is garbage. And likely expensive garbage. And he’s garbage that will be nailed on at another failing PL club sometime soon.
  14. He looked absolutely knackered and old at the game last night. Forest were proper shite ( don’t get me started on Wolves ). Their players hitting and hoping and long balling it against a side that didn’t want to play. Players looked lost and confused. Fans vocally pi55ed off. Does he really walk into a new job straight after that?!? Especially a championship relegation battle. Have those who want him seen the crap his team have churned out in recent years. The time for Dyche was when we were falling in the PL.
  15. Couldnt disagree more. Yesterday we needed a manager who knew how to deal with Southampton tactical change, and see the who they were targeting. The subs were off the charts crazy. And lets not even mention Jordan Ayew. yes the players take responsibilty, but the (interim) manager played an absolute blinder in f***ng up that 2nd half. We were all in the stands scream 'whats he doing - why no changes'.
  16. I'm still numb from this. Said to my boy that, whilst i was there, i had no recollection of the last 20-25 minutes. When their first goal went in, we knew a comeback was on the cards and i sat there pretty much silent. On a side node, special nod to SK1 singing 'stand up if you love leicester' when we went 3-0 up. A lot of us said a resounding 'no'! Need points first before any of that. Problem is, Southampton had a better 1st half XG compared to us and more big chances, and i felt it showed. We were certainly clinical - Fatawu's was stupendous and Daka took a defensive howler well. But the warning signs were there in the first half. Luke messed up in the first few minutes to give them a big chance, and Okoli's passing was horrific. I felt we started the 2nd half ok, but it became clear what Southampton were going to do. For any team playing us, its obvious really. We have no stamina, and when pushed hard, Riccy and Thomas are massive liabilities, and Fatawu and Stephie offer no protection. Go wide, get the crosses in (we concede so many) and the chances will come. Some CB and Goalkeeping howlers in there as we spectacularly fell apart. At 3-1 i thought a draw was in the cards. At 3-2 - they were all over us. My boy asked to leave - i said no. Massive mistake. Will listen to him next time. Our stats were criminal in the 2nd half. 1 shot and not on target, an XG of 0.17. I remember Page putting a great cross in that Daka couldnt get to, and a half chance for Daka from some long play. I cant remember anything else. Just a bit of 'something' would have helped. Subs were pathetic though. Game was screaming for either (or both) of Riccy and Thomas to be replaced, along side Stephy early. 3 CB's was silly whilst the wings were being completely exploited. Kind showed his inexperience, or Saddler showed he is still useless. Probably both. Left the second the goal went in with a sobbing son. Got the shits from the Nandos as well. Perfect evening. Topped off by finding out Man U equalised to keep Forest that little bit safer.
  17. 'The' betting get suspended when someone puts £5 on. This is not a market where a lot money changes hands so the bookies put very tight limits to ensure they can balance the books easily.
  18. Maybe. But it’s all about West Ham now.
  19. How shite are Wolves. Playing worse stuff than I have ever seen us play.
  20. Wasn't Frank one of the best paid in the Premier League? Last interview i saw of him he looked completely frazzled. I think you take the salary for a bit, get a few weeks somewhere nice, and then see what's available in a few months and if something is ok, get planning a pre season. Would be an absolute mentalist to run into a Championship relegation battle.
  21. I imagine Top and Rudkin only become a big issue once we get near a transfer window. Priority 1 is staying up.
  22. Did he? I thought the one in the first half was good but really should have been saving. None of them were better than anything Jakub had done.
  23. How do you think Ralf would go about the job. Players dont look ready to play that fancy German giga stuff. But we have to move away from 4-3-3 with Luke, Riccy, Fats and Stephi. Would be a tough start for him.
  24. Which will be the results that helps them decide to keep King on till end of the season.
