  1. All evidence suggest we wouldn’t have survived unless we could have matched wolves or palaces runs. No chance was that possible.
  2. Not if he has a relegation clause that provides a reduced payout. I presume all parties are playing games with each other until its confirmed.
  3. If i recall, we had only played Arsenal from the top end of the table (i don't count Spurs anymore!). I don't think we would have seen the Ruud drop off under Cooper, as i think this was caused by Ruud belligerently sticking to a plan/style, but i don't think Cooper would have maintained 0.83 ppg with the games he had coming up. To have had any chance, we needed one of Palace or Wolves to have stayed awful all season (i actually thought it might be Palace), but both have gone on pretty amazing runs and both hammered us. We would have needed a turnaround like Wolves to have had any chance. No matter what, we were doomed this season.
  4. Congtats! And i hope you enjoy your 2nd, 3rd, 4th and 5th.
  5. And many of the right wingers you refer to either don't have to worry about how they support their children and the impact this will have on both themselves and their kids (Musk seems to be quite flippant about how much he even cares about how many kids he has, let alone how they get brought up). Furthermore, many right wingers are concerned that the countries that have not seen birth rates decline as much (or at all) means that we will be left with the wrong sort of people. I say 'many', because i know this is an extreme view, but its one wrapped up in complete distrust of immigration. I bolded your point because to me its relevant. I have one child and even though he is the most wonderful / precious thing in the world, the thought of ever having more is hideous. He takes all our energy, to the point where our own lives have been seriously (and likely irreparably) affected. When he decided it's time to leave home, we will go our separate ways, unless something huge changes. The world has clearly changed. My dad (born in the 1930's) used to tell me that he barely even knew his own dad and the relationship with his mum was cold. His dad paid little attention to his upbringing, would hit him and died young. Go a generation before that and most families have very little evidence of what life for kids and parent was like. Going through our Ancestry, my Dads grandfather lived in slums in Marylebone where a large number of people lived in small and probably hideous conditions, where the child mortality rate was high, education for many was poor and life expectancy was low. Those who made it through all that, ended up being our parents. Today's parenting is a million miles away from this.
  6. Its also midly amusing how their expectations have changed as well. Chelsea supporting mate said he was happy for this to be a building year and battling for europe was good enough. Now all of a sudden he is spitting blood even though they are in the hunt for Champions League.
  7. Because it might be the only way of keeping him for now and getting a better fee for him in a future season.
  8. He's only 20, so if we are in the Championship one season i think he might take it as long as he is front and center of the rebuild. I think one season wouldn't hurt him getting picked for Morocco either.
  9. This is the bottom half after 12 games when we sacked Cooper: Palace, Wolves and Everton massively sorted their sh1t out. Fact we were 16th at the time is irrelevant, as there was no way Cooper was going to be able to keep up with any of their points talleys.
  10. Which is what we used to say ourselves. Something feels massively off with Brighton imho. Tail end of last season under De Zerbi they were woeful and i think this season they have been really inconsistent. Mavididi arguably had his 2 best games against them and they offered very little resistance to him. Mavadid hasn't had a sniff against most teams. I thought in the last 10 mins of both our games they looked like they were pretty clueless. We could have won it when BEK hit the post.
  11. Will be fine when Enzo switched to plan b.
  12. Actually looked half decent that 2nd half
  13. I think Kasey took a knock and they wanted to get him off quickly.
  14. Mate. Get yourself a nice drink of something and chill. I doubt you will have an easier afternoon this year.
  15. I feel Monga has to start.
  16. Goals today. For someone.
  17. You are on the fence with this one aren’t you
  18. Should start against Brighton.
  19. Contracts and Lawyers. Worst thing that could happen is we win a few games and there are rumours that Man CIty might get their mighty deduction.
  20. As if! Will be the usual 'its difficult, but every one is working hard and taking it a game at a time' bollocks.
  21. I would like someone to ask him how he feels about being our worst manager ever, and one of the worst managers ever in the PL.
  22. Oh, i think he knows full well what is going on, and is playing everyone. When he finally gets his marching orders the day after relegation is confirmed, he will drive out the car park with a huge smile on his face.
  23. If so, expect Riccy to be injured for about 65% of the season.
  24. Cant believe he's going to give a press conference today. Staggering.
