  1. Awesome
  2. So we should give it to Dyche because we are a basket case?
  3. Being in the Championship we don't need to send them out on loan! We can develop them as part of our own progression. If that takes more than 1 season to come up then thats better than buying players that have no long term future at the club just to play short term Dycheball. There is an amazing opportunity here as we do appear to have a bit of a golden age in our academy. A core set of players could get promoted to the PL as a well oiled hungry youthful unit, coupled up with exciting players like Okoli/Fatawu/Mavadidi/Jakub and hopefully BEK. Some of these players have pretty high potential ceilings. It could all come together at the right time. I really don't understand why people aren't excited by that. It needs to be a balance though, and that why there is still a place for Riccy/JJ/Coady/Skipp and even BDR.
  4. I think its all vauge on purpose. Article is all about the KP. If he gets his goal then i am sure it will be his last and he will just be at the Bournemouth game and not in the squad. If he doesnt get his goal then i am sure he will have a think about the next game.
  5. Its coming for sure.
  6. A loan spell at Preston following time in the academy was not enough to replace Kasper straight away. Like it or not, Ward at the time was an international and many on this forum were calling for him to replace Kasper the previous season due to our set piece issues and Kaspers inability to deal with corners well. Brendan had been referring to us having 2 no1 keepers for some time. Iversen was going to have to fight for that spot. The issues with Ward unravelled during that season. I remember thinking that he wasn't great against Brentford at home where we had gone 2-0 up, but the pelters werent out for him yet and just assumed he needed game time. Then we all know what happened. I would love to know if the management were completely blindsided by him. I simply cant believe Ward has always been that bad. I still dont think Iversen has been treated like shit. Hopefully he has a decent career in the Championship and looks young for his age, so can be a Keeper that plays long into his 30's. We simply have 2 keepers that are currently better than him.
  7. We know nothing until managers are announced / moved on and each side deals with a big chunk of outgoings. But i fail to see how Southampton are in better shape than us? How have you worked that one out.
  8. Only works if you are big 6 mate.
  9. When Kasper was here, Ward was seen as the number 2 and Iversen out on loan as the developing option. Unless we bought another no1, Ward was always going to get it. Wards problems started to show during that season, and was rightly binned. But Iversen was never going to get the no 1 spot following Kaspers departure. Wads calamities aside, Iversens record was poor and his distribution was possible the worst i have seen at both PL and Championship level (when he was on loan). Its not just about playing style - he is terrible at it. He's been paid handsomely and i'm sure he has a good standard of living. Lots of keepers suffer from just not being good enough, and Mads and Jakub are much better keepers than him. He might not think he got the chances he deserved, but i don't think hes been treated like shit. I'd happily take his money and not play any games for 2 season.
  10. I get that but i don't think this season has indicated he should be going for that sort of money, and another season in the championship devalues him further. Obvs if someone comes in for 40mil we should take it, but we cant over value him. Taking Onana out of the equation, how many go for that sort of money?
  11. Whats he done to suggest he is worth 40mil?
  12. Cannon barely played for the. in the Championship. Cant see him getting much success next season. What amuses me is that they are both getting a trip to Wembley.
  13. This is the curse of VAR. I think in this situation its come from a long ball and a fast counter and there have been circumstances where ones i thought were obviously off side wern't. At the time i thought it was ridiculous but i can understand why at that moment they played on if she she had a small amount of doubt when the ball was played. I get the whole players getting injured point, but if everyone in the ground knew that it was offside then so would the attacker who has gone on and risked himself. Like we have seen many do, he could have just put his hand up. Even with the semi automated stuff, i would still do away with it and just go back to lino's call. I think there even if she flags immediately and its a closer call no one will really care.
  14. Vardy scores in the 2nd minute - game abandoned.
  15. West Ham last relegation.
  16. I fear this post would get pelters, but its where my head is at. I don't know what the relationship between Ruud and the board is like. If its workable, then i think what you say makes sense. I think he knows who needs to go and has high standards. He will need a good team around him though.
  17. No one is poaching Dyche. The merry go round only starts again if he messes up. Would rather have managers poached if it means we get compensation and we have the next one lined up.
  18. I don't want Dyche, but i would have him over other candidates for sure. I don't want Russell either, but that doesnt mean i should be happy settling for Dyche, But, there are a few things that annoy me when discussing about him: Saying he's the 'best' option to get us promoted. He isn't the 'best'. He is one of several options that 'could' get us promoted. Saying he will 'sort the squad out'. I see little evidence of Dyche being able to operate beyond his own constraints. Sorting it out is going to be subjective. Saying 'just get rid of him after we are promoted'. Unless we start making serious profits again, we are only sacking managers if the situation is incredible dire. Noone is headhunting Dyche from us, so unless he messes up then he will be here for his contract, and rebuilding in his vision accordingly. Saying he was 'fine at Burnley and Everton'. His claim to fame at Everton is he wasn't as bad as Lampard. I actually don't really care for his time a Burnley and he himself has said he's learnt from all that (heard that before). We are Leicester. Those who interview him need to determine if he can do what we want him to do, not copy what he did at Burnley.
  19. In a parallel universe, that shot goes in and he became the youngest PL scorer in history. Now that would have been a good episode of Sliders.
  20. Its on Sunday!!???
  21. Please let us at least hold them out for a draw. All the pressure is on them.
  22. I know confidence is everything, but im not sure anymore. He would spend a big part of the warmup banging crosses in that weren't particularly great then, and barely any landed in a game. Even if confidence is low, i would expect some output. Runs around a lot and likes to dangle out a leg.
  23. Bet they sell Youri for £40 mil.
  24. Id say it affected him really badly, and i have long felt that playing at the top level affected his injury record later in his career. Towards the end he looked far older than he was. As time goes on, there is more sports science and psychology involved, so would always hope that more consideration of the youngsters wellbeing is made than ever before.
