  1. Dont see how that works? We can't sell until the transfer window opens. So if he has a clause which means he gets no payout if we are relegated then they can do it as soon as that is mathematically confirmed. If we have to pay him no matter what, then they will just do it in the next accounting period.
  2. Do we? Personally, i think we just need one who: Does not favour possession football at all costs Modern, data driven thinking Good man manager Direct discipline and work on the club culture Adaptable tactically, understand how to leverage the players to their best in a given scenario These things aren't 'back to basics'. Some of the 'non big name' managers in the PL (Glasner, Frank, Iraola, Hürzeler) are operating using the models above. These managers have actually been able to offer a counterpoint to Pep ball, and we are miles behind them all, and they aren't over complicating anything.
  3. I love him and i want to have his babies.
  4. Its a real problem. If he had carried on his early season form i think we would have got good money. But he's been worse than Jakub was and really shouldn't be starting. Another season in the Championship where we are likely to only be top 10 pushing for playoffs isn't going to improve the valuation. £15mil if we are lucky.
  5. Watching Hermansen lately i hope someone is nailed on to take him and the deals already done. Because he's been one of the worst keepers in the league since he came back from injury.
  6. This would be until a new appointment is made when decisions on the coaching staff are aligned with the next manager. My approach has to be based on the assumption: Brian Barry-Murphy and Andy King are currently operating under Ruuds approach and instructions. King is new to the job and still learning. Brian Barry-Murphy seems to be highly regarded. The targets shift from what ever Ruud has been trying to do (guesses please?) to next season planning, player integration etc. They would be judged on the success of that, not whatever Ruud has left behind.
  7. We have to do something. This cant continue. We are down, so need to put the wheels in motion now to prepare for next season. I don't expect us to announce a new manager until after the season is over, but we need to get Ruud out and let the rest of the staff focus man management, future planning and starting to get our future culture correct. Losing, and not scoring, has become a habit and we need to address this, especially with the winnable games coming before the end of the season. Last relegation, Smith had us battling, scoring and getting points. We are doing neither, and its a dangerous trend to take into a Championship pre season, which comes along pretty quickly. We need to weed out the current malaise, which has been caused by Ruuds complete incompetence, and focus our energies on the players who are going to be part of our plans in the Championship. So I would: Put Ruud in some bullsh1t desk job role until the end of the season, if sacking is an issue. Promote Brian Barry-Murphy and King until the end of the season. Stop playing anyone who doesnt form part of next seasons plans. This means no more Soumare, Daka, Viktor, Hermansen, Wilf, Facundo, Vesty, Faes, Ayew to name a few. Promote any academy player deemed 'ready' to the 1st team squad (Monga, Sammy, Evans etc ). Task the senior players (Vardy, Winks, Coady and maybe Wilf if he is willing) with integrating and man managing the 'ready' academy players during this process. Let Winks stay at Seagrave if he has to Set targets accordingly. Look for goals in tougher games, but points against Ipswich Wolves and Southampton. Fight for some pride. If they would do the above, i'll be turning up to every home game and showing my support for the new look squad. Starting the same team against Brighton is surely madness.
  8. I’d smoke whatever you are smoking.
  9. We can’t surely be heading to the Brighton game with him in charge?
  10. I saw him do nothing as captain last night. You used to be able to say he led by example, which i suppose he did.
  11. I made my home debut for Leicester.
  12. Its Man City .....
  13. Since the injury, he’s been terrible. Worse, he’s now gone to the Wout Faes school of arm flappery. Terrible distribution from someone who showed real promise in that area. Nothing any good, from long hoofy balls to short balls straight back to Newcastle attackers. I fear that 2nd goal may knock his confidence even more. Id play Jakub for the rest of the season to get ready for next year.
  14. Just don’t pay him his compensation. Let him take us to court if he has to. Nothing he has done deserves any pay. Shameful.
  15. Must have been shit, because I got served at half time almost instantly.
  16. Well of course, but it really needs to be before then, but i know it wont. We needed to have started the rebuild process yesterday.
  17. In the warm up, he is constantly banging on crosses from the left wing. In the match, not a single one of them finds their man. Pointless.
  18. We need to develop him. The consensus is he is ready, but as you can see today, PL (and well drilled ones) are a different prospect to anything he will get in PL2. He will need game time and this is the best way to do it. He just over 2 years older than my son. Mental.
  19. Lets hope the club don't have a login for ChatGPT
  20. Yay, its match day!
  21. Just did. Enjoyed last season and prefer the Championship (no VAR, more interesting clubs, more games). PL can go shove it imho. I don't expect us to be anywhere near as strong as with Enzo's team, but i think we will still be up there. Look forward to seeing Alves, Nelson and hopefully some more academy players come through.
  22. Need an award for the best Pukka pie?
  23. They are 'better' because they havent played for a little while. Jannick was absolute dog turd against West Ham, and appeared to refuse to be playing the teams tactics playing west ham attackers onside and giving away an own goal. Yet, don't play him for a few weeks and he's the better option all of a sudden.
  24. The moment Danny Ward came on at half time against Newcastle totally transformed our season. Then his masterful display against wolves led to an immediate turning against the team with chants of ‘what the f£?king hell was that’. Then his subsequent request to be nowhere the first team ever again, whilst presumably on full pay. Ward is an unbelievable talent, capable of destroying anything. Gets my vote, and probably gets a contract extension.
