Not the most awe-inspiring stats are they? Is he out of contract or something. No doubt any player linked to about 10 bottom half teams we will automatically now be lumped in with as transfer speculation fodder.

Group C: Slovenia, Denmark, Serbia, England

By the way thanks @Markfor putting this sub-forum together, particularly the fixtures for each group. Incredibly helpful having all the info in one place for a lazy bastard like me. As a fan base we are very lucky to have such a great forum. -
Excellent summary, cheers. I like the sound of some flexibility. I thought in the last couple of seasons of Potter's tenure Brighton played some really good football, possesion based but much more incisive and quick than we have played under Maresca at times. Maybe they just had better players. I'm going purely on the games I watched, highlights etc but I felt if they'd had someone capable of finishing clinically they'd have achieved more. That said, I think I prefer Corberan over all.

Never liked Pure Bar, but I'd had dealings with Purity and always thought they were tossers quite honestly. What's going on with their place now then?

Yes and the amount of abuse Balague has taken here, despite seeming a perfectly decent bloke on the @BSLBPod - lenient. Absolutely fvcking laughable.

Any idea what his philosophy is as a manager, other than bringing through youth? I don't really have clue what his preferred playing style is etc?

Don't know why BCA don't try and have at least one slightly more adventurous beer in their stable. Citra Sublime tastes of neither Citra nor Sublimity. No wonder the guests sell better. Went to Thornbridge last week visiting a mate who works on Colmore Row. Their own cask was excellent I have to say, there was a 3.7ish that was really hoppy but drinkable. But the feel of the place was horrific, full of suits - within five minutes my mate was networking and I wanted to get out of there. Haven't tried the gunmakers or the Bull for years and will do so next time I'm visiting, cheers 🍻

I ain't mad at my team... I could never get behind the Krauts whereas I've always had a soft spot for the Portuguese and their tarts.

That fielding was abysmal.

More like olive oil in the basket, vine ripened tomatoes nearly there, just waiting for confirmation on the freshness of the baguette and then shopping is complete Ten minutes later: there are concerns about the quality of tomatoes, no problem there is a special offer on heritage tomatoes, everything's expected to be solved soon... Repeat fifty times before checkout.

Looking forward to a trip to Edgbaston today. Praying there is no rain.

Is there anything Col hasn't 'said before'

Best bet is to have a skinfull in the Cricketers before heading in. Great venue, great people, great times. Beer was okay last time I went tbf. The hobgoblin session IPA in the ground was one of the most revolting things I've ever had to drink.

Whoops you beat me to to it!

I think the 2017 election results beg to differ. 2019 was very obviously a Brexit focussed election, not exclusively but it was the single biggest issue and Labour fluffed it big time, as Corbyn fluffed many things politically. Albeit it was a bit of a lose lose really for them overall. The only positive about Brexit really is that it's come back to haunt the Tories big time, being the huge sh1t show that many of us of all political stripes thought it would be.

The last thing this thread needs is Wagatha Christie doom mongering!

This is very well said Ben. I think we must remember though that anybody putting forward really progressive policies, be it Burnham or Starmer, is going to get serious push back from vast swathes of the media. Corbyn was, of course, easy to attack for numerous reasons and made many political howlers. But his policies certainly contributed to the vitriol he faced. I think the frustrating thing is that I do believe there are a lot of people who now want to see some progressive policies. Nothing crazy, we are a small c conservative country over all. But some more moves towards progressive taxation, nationalisation of polluting water companies and failing, subsidised rail companies and so on. I reckon the appetite is there because of the doldrums the country finds itself in. So I do wish Starmer would be much bolder, he can and should win even if the majority of the media sh1t themselves and rally behind the tories. He's much harder to attack than Corbyn on a personal level and has a serious, impressive C.V. prior to becoming a politician. I think the Tories are just too damaged at this point to win. This feels like a potentially missed opportunity. Overall Starmer is a massive disappointment but, that said, I will vote for him in the next election and hope he has under promised but over delivers.
