My employer is a huge corporation, a big company and during my employment process they accepted all my ID documents digitally including passport, NIN etc. It's shocking how some of you are trying to justify this breach of human rights which will result to more issues. You did the same with the vaccine passports and you failed. You're coming back now to try it again. You'll fail again miserably.

Because their intentions aren't genuine. The majority of people don't trust the government right now and imo rightfully so. As I said their primary reason for introducing this is laughable. You can't stop illegal immigration by forcing citizens which are already lawful to carry a digital ID. I can carry with me the physical DL, passport or even the NIN paper if they want. My employer already checked all these.

How a digital ID on a device thousands people lose every day will tackle fraud? I'm for decades now pro tech but I can't ignore the fact there are still thousands of people out there scammed every minute. The reasoning behind the plan lacks any common sense. You can't fight illegal immigration or illegal employment by a digital ID. The ones that are coming here don't have ID or papers. Lawful businesses check your status before employment already (passport, national ID if you're from a foreign country, DBS, NIN etc). If a business wants to employ illegally a digital ID won't stop them. On site inspections can stop illegal employment. There are certain businesses within 2 sectors that break the employment laws. Everyone knows this.

You're not getting my take because you're not thinking out of the box. You have decided to link this plan to potential racist abuse after it's implemented and this is the only disadvantage you see about it.

Nope it's not the same. Which European countries have digital IDs? Can you please name them? This isn't a physical national identity card which the majority of European countries have since the 50s. It's a digital ID with extra sensitive, private information including a lot more details and open to additional ones (possibly dystopian ones). The citizens of UK were strongly opposed to physical IDs before. There's no way these plans will go forward for a digital ID and even if this gov insists there's going to be massive non compliance which will possibly bring the whole country to a bigger mess. Anyway, I find it unlikely this plan will go forward. Starmer will be forced to resign eventually.

Ofc you can't replicate the exact same conditions regarding fitness, tiredness etc but you need at least to replicate the standard match conditions as they occurred in 78 or so minutes. I can't understand your objection. Do you want also some people around the pitch holding hoses to replicate rain?

Nope. The only fair way to do it is to continue the game tomorrow afternoon under closed doors (unless they have a system to let fans in again which I doubt they do). Play the remaining minutes tomorrow. Any other future day will cause genuine disruption as players get injured etc and the league will be in jeopardy.

We don't even have common sense rules for simple things like suspended/abandoned football games. It doesn't matter if it's the first minute or the 90th minute. The rule should be a continuation of the game under the same conditions (red cards etc) the next day. So the game must continue tomorrow for the remainder of time. But noooo. Why do that?
