The amount of OGs in modern football is staggering. It happens mainly because the majority of modern defenders lack intelligence of positional defending.

Another manager who was hinting at resignation but the sacking compensation is too big to ignore. He's lucky he's not in a Mediterranean country football club, he would have been forced by the fans to resign. Next manager: Southgate? Xavi? Spalletti? Conceicao? Terzic?

Bad career decisions have consequences. He'll end up in Championship within 3 years unfortunately. There are certain fellow fans who are very lenient with our managers the last 3 years. I understand the majority of our players aren't top quality and I also don't expect us to go up this season because we'll need another 20 decent players in PL to even claim we're gonna fight to stay up. Because Ayew was roaming around under this manager's instructions.

You can't build a team with Soumare in midfield and Ayew on top while also having him roaming left, right and middle like an idiot. There were times he was running back in the midfield while we were attacking with Fatawu and I thought I was watching some sequel of Dumb and Dumber. I'm sorry but if a manager is alright with this farcical positioning I'll criticise him as much as I want.

Yeah, because watching 3 (!) times Ayew running back to midfield (!) while we were attacking makes so much sense that we're not allowed to react, criticise or comment on it.

This guy would have been rejected in a Mexican or Colombian b-movie as a citizen passing by a smuggler's hut and he's a football manager here paid millions.

Fired up the 10h trial, played the "Authentic" mode, it felt a bit more like football with a slower pace. Defenders are still idling without a reason, ball is like a magnet on players feet, GKs don't even rush out, there are no fouls, there's no inertia with players turning on the spot like spin wheels. 1h37m later uninstalled. If EA pays me 1 million to play the game I might think about it and 1 million is probably still low for the damage in my mental health it will cause.

I've been playing Pro Evo since the first iteration of the game with the exception of FIFA 16/17 which were decent FIFA games. Idk what you mean nobody else was playing Pro Evo at that point. Even now PES 21 is classes above any recent FIFA or whatever they call this abomination now.

Yes he did. He played well. As I said it wasn't an outstanding performance, he can do better. These Spanish teams are very demanding regarding expectations. It's not just the goals. If Barca were playing like Man Utd there would have been a revolution in the city.

Re Rashford, yes he's not been outstanding today but he's been decently involved. The question is why the majority of British players are better when they play for European teams. The answer is there's more pressure from the fans. In Spain, Italy etc you can't take the piss, you can't be relaxed and don't care. The fans will find you somewhere (training ground, home, cafe, restaurant) and demand answers why you're taking the piss. I'm not talking about abusive behaviour, they have a way to be polite but also demanding.

I don't think it matters that much they score late goals. They're capable to do it every second. Their problem is the defense which is a joke. This is also the difference between them and a team like Man Utd which is a joke both in defense and offense.

They're lucky they're not in Championship. I saw a table with 31 games played since Amorim was appointed and they're last on points against all "established" PL teams. If this season the promoted teams prove to be more competitive Man Utd will be in huge trouble. They've spent a billion and they're still fielding Maguire and Shaw (and Mount!). Imo the problem isn't just Amorim. It's Ratatouille. He's the major problem of this team.
