Aluko is our most athletic FB and might actually offer an attacking threat yet we don’t even have a FB on the bench when Thomas was his usual poor self. Page again, can get around the pitch and far from polished but why bring on Ayew, Reid and Soumare - the chances of us scoring with those changes must have been something like 0.01 xG.

Marti is like a lot of bang average managers, a moment manager rather than having a system that sets his teams apart.

Enzo has an elite mentality. Marti hasn’t got an ounce of that has he? We’re his biggest ever club and it shows, shame as comes across as a nice bloke.

What winds me up about Marti, we often end games with no shape.

Carranza rightfully deserves stick for his part but Faes’ defending was so frustrating and non existent.

Why do we look so poor defensively on the transition?

I miss the 2023/24 version of Mavs. Monga for his own confidence needs to have another 15 minutes before likely coming off for Reid.

The big difference though was Enzo’s style of football was designed to get the opposition players chasing shadows, so they’d eventually be knackered. I think it’s the lack of Ndidi underlay, or the KDH runs past Vardy (I know JJ seems to want to do this) but I think we look very basic right now.

Can someone explain to me any of our attacking patterns? I’m really struggling to see what they do in training. I know we had better players under Enzo, but as early as Liverpool in pre-season, we had a clear few attacking patterns.

Daka and Ayew only got back from international duty a few days ago, so starting Carranza isn’t that much of a surprise. I hope that he looks a lot less rusty than recent cameos, I’m guessing that he didn’t get a lot of minutes in pre-season.

Signing experienced players on a relatively low wage and short deal is not always a bad deal. There is a difference between signing someone like Murphy (30) on 30k per week for three years to signing a 33 year old Ayew on double/treble that 🤮

What was decent money though? I might be making it too simplistic but our issue is our wage structure. Imagine signing Murphy on a three year deal on 30k per week. He would get a lot of minutes and clearly very, very good at this level.

Completely agree. A signing that would have been low risk, wouldn’t have cost the earth. I keep thinking back about last summers window and imagine spending as much as we did and only Bilal improved the starting 11. Cooper’s unhealthy obsession with PL experience set us back more than gets mentioned on here!

Isn’t Murphy missing for them? Sad that I get that excited about a Championship level winger missing for the opposition, but highlights our pretty big fall from grace really.

The same Susan Whelan who signed off on it last season? Or who was in situ when had the KBet link? I think that is a bit of a FoxesTalk stretch surely? Whelan going is more likely due to Rudkin being up Top’s arse and her taking the fall for our recent mis-management?

What I genuinely don’t understand, if we were sticking with BC Game, why such a long delay? I don’t believe it’s because of the fan reaction, as there is minimal evidence of KP taking any fan feedback on board previously.
