Completely agree but moaning about acknowledging the owners birthday is surely a moot point and always going to happen.

Hamza cannot play RB on a consistent basis and will find even some Championship wingers much harder than he should. He has zero awareness and the amount of crosses that he casually allows is criminal. However, I agree about not being able to use his off the field antics as a reason to call him out, his performances (in the main) do that on their own.

Good shout. Mahrez obviously had a great career but wouldn’t sadly ever (outside of LCFC fans) be labelled as elite and rightly or wrongly, his athleticism was the big reason way IMO. I’m with you though, Monga and some of the other youngsters are the only reason that I don’t have my pitchforks at the ready.

But Marti’s football is all about a high press. This will not work if playing Ayew and we’ll see the embarrassing pressing as individuals like last season. Daka is far from ideal and desperate for a better alternative but Ayew in a team that wants to high press is suicidal football and we’ll just get played through 24/7.

Daka to start over Ayew for me. Interestingly, Daka is joint 9th with SkyBet to be top scorer this season. Ayew hasn’t even made the cut, the longest odds are 80/1 too.

Did you hear Marti’s post match comments? He said about Stephy and Ricardo having specific knocks but almost ignored the question about VK.

I’m still not sure that Monga has that electric pace which is a very small question mark for me. Which is something that the elite wingers need in modern football. But yesterday it was pretty damning/a sign of how good he is, considering that he was our only outlet for the majority of the time that he was on the pitch.

It’s sad as so true. How old will he be when that happens? He isn’t getting a contract as big anywhere else is he?

I hate the majority of our social media but no club would ignore the owners birthday, regardless how he is perceived by the majority of the fan base. I just want to see players leave as Marti even said the squad is too big.

I watched solely him for about 10 minutes when we were under the cosh. He really is such a meh CM isn’t he? He doesn’t offer for the ball, nor offer protection of the back 4. Even his body positioning seems amateurish, as he never looks like he thinks a couple of moves ahead that even Winks offers. Enzo wouldn’t have touched Skipp with a barge pole.

Nelson has everything that Jannik offers but is physical and athletic. I don’t want to see Jannik near our squad come the end of August. Also, Ayew up top does not work! Great save Jakub.

I feel a bit sick having Faes in my starting 11 at any level but I have to agree with this. An athletic, hold up man though would see us having a good season to a very good one though, captain obvious comment, I know.

Reid has been absolutely awful but surely he needs to be a case study. As @Paninistickers has referenced, he is physically and technically one of the worst players that I’ve seen in a LCFC shirt in years yet he has made a career out of being a footballer. Has he always been this weak and quite frankly a bit pathetic as an elite footballer or has age/miles on the clock resulted in what we’ve witnessed?

Arguing over who is less 5hit between Soumare and Skipp is peak Foxestalk. Fair to say that I’d be happy if they both left but Skipp is likely to stay and he will at least hopefully put himself about a bit. Soumare seems to get let off on here when there hasn’t been a game but during match threads, he is 9/10 one of the most complained about players 🤷🏻‍♂️

At this stage, I just want to see players like him gone. Genuine question, if the other club paid half his wages and a small loan fee. Would you take it?

Maybe I’m deluded but so confident that Soumare is not here come the end of August. He seems to have admirers in Europe and if our previous Championship season is anything to go by, he doesn’t fancy the second tier, which is ironic considering it’s his level.

I am far from JJ’s biggest fan but people putting him in the same category as Faes, Soumare etc doesn’t sit well with me. If we were a well run club, I wouldn’t even be against him having a contract extension on reduced terms, he either signs it or finds a club that pays what he thinks he’s worth.

100% this. Ruud’s first press conference has to be considered as fraudulent. Didn’t he mention that he isn’t a football romantic so will tweak his ideas accordingly? Yet, this was the same manager that trotted out a front three of Vardy, Ayew and Reid whilst in the middle of our non scoring at home run. Ruud might have been let down by Top and Rudkin but his absolute lack of coaching ability was on full display. Don’t even get me started on the passive Cooper, at least we hopefully don’t have those buzz words up behind the players hangers in the dressing room anymore.

I couldn’t disagree any harder. Pipes calls him out almost every week for having a shocking attitude, almost goes as far to say that he likely thinks he’s much better than he is. Having ended my (Sunday league standard) football as a CB, he would be a nightmare as a partner as has brain fart, after brain fart. Nelson should be one of the first names on the team sheet, let alone CB.

Not a bad shout but Evans in his time here was genuinely a top notch CB, before our relegation season. Coady’s biggest contribution on the pitch was giving away that penalty against Palace that kicked off their decent run of form from memory. Maybe, I’m being too kind to Evans but out of the two, I’d have Evans over Coady any day of the week.

I actually thought for a guy his size that he was pretty disappointing at times. He must have spent too much time with Jannik but defensively, I have a few memories of making himself smaller than he is and often being weak in aerial duels.
