I normally agree with most things that you post but couldn’t disagree any harder. Take Iversen as an example, we turned down an offer for him to just let him wind down his contract and play zero minutes for us after that offer, that’s bad business. How many players have we moved on that aren’t the obvious? I also should have phrased it better but with players two years on from an amortisation basis, them moving on should be easier. Coady going to Rangers hopefully is the first of many players to move for a nominal fee but enough to not take a financial hit.
-
Will our wish of draining the swamp finally happen with us historically putting OTT prices on our “squad fillers” hopefully having to change due to our need to “trade players”. Seeing the back of Coady, Wout and other high earners, to make us more attractive to potential buyers surely has to be an option to Top and co.

Totally agree. I think that people have made an assumption that under Dyche, he would weed out the lazy, disinterested dossers that are plaguing our squad. Not a big fan of him but unlike Ruud, at least he’s a proper manager rather than one who wouldn’t be anywhere near a managerial position if he wasn’t such a good footballer back in the day. Genuinely, still can’t think of one pattern of play that Ruud tried creating whilst here.
-
Completely agree about that but with BEK being 5 years younger than what Maddison was when we sold him, shouldn’t be underestimated. I’d love Bilal to stay and think a very good season from an output perspective and we’d genuinely see us getting a similar fee to Maddison at least.
-
The only (I’m clutching) difference between BEK and Mads is their sell on value. Spurs wouldn’t ever make a profit on Mads yet a buyer for BEK genuinely could.
-
Under KP, have we ever looked abroad? All of their managerial appointments have had experience of managing in England. One of my biggest annoyances with our ownership, which is saying a lot as so much to dislike about them.
-
It’s rumours like this that make me think our board really are dumb and deserve all the criticism they get. We wouldn’t pay less than Leeds are paying (on wages) and he’s pretty much a player that has shown zero signs of having a higher ceiling than Alves. Stop bloating our squad with mediocrity and use our academy as back up options.
-
BBM who’s previous management history comes in the form of Rochdale. We’re being way too generous on here about his credentials. If he got the job and did a horrid job, I’m confident everyone would bemoan that we didn’t go for anybody with experience etc. He likely wouldn’t have been kept on when/if a new manager gets announced on the 1st July.
-
BBM is being made out as a hybrid of Pep, Enzo and Klopp. I am no means an ITK but wasn’t it well documented that players kicked off about his messaging at training and he then apologised the next day? Hardly screams out like an elite coach to me.
-
I know that we’ll never properly know but confident in saying he’ll have at least doubled his wages coming too.
-
Amazing news. I couldn’t care who our next manager is BUT one thing is certain, they need to play to our strengths, our wide options (especially at Championship level) are so exciting aren’t they?
-
Steve Cooper and his obsession with “PL experience” should never be forgotten. Would Skipp have come if he never took charge? We appear to let managers (who all have such short shelf lives) dictate way too much at the club.
-
Knowing us, we’ll do both.

Wout to Monaco (loan with ~€8m option, official)
SafewayFox replied to CloudFox's topic in Transfer Talk
Surely Wout is one of the most unlikable players in a squad of very unlikable leeches. I don’t think that I’ve ever wanted a player out of the club as much as Wout. -
I’ve said it before and will say it again….Ferguson on loan from Brighton makes too much sense to me. 1) Brighton fans loved him when he broke in the team but injuries/change of managers has seen him fall down the pecking order. 2) He’s only 20 and a drop down the divisions getting regular minutes actually would be beneficial for both clubs.
-
I think I’ll just copy and paste for 95% of our squad. Overpaid, limited ability, dosser. Who I can’t wait to see the back of.

Jordan Ayew - NEVER PLAYING FOR LEICESTER AGAIN!!!
SafewayFox replied to moore_94's topic in Leicester City Forum
The Ayew rumour before he signed was depressing. His overall performances were average at best. Him playing in the Championship on a large wedge is our reality, poor planning and a dislikable squad. -
I don’t think it’s unfair to highlight that Jannik has fallen out with all bosses minus Enzo. Call it old fashioned but I’d rather have a CB who can defend first and make some nice passes second, not the other way round. If we’re playing a low block, a defender who wins more aerial duels than not is also Jannik’s strength which is baffling considering of his height.

With Rudkin in charge, the dog and their unborn puppies likely have deals lined up 😜
-
I think KDH leaving Chelsea on loan is something you could picture this summer. However, him dropping down to the Championship, highly unlikely sadly.
-
How many runners? Seven? 🙈

You read my mind and posted in a much more articulated manner than I wanted to. The last relegation saw Top talk about some people being “mean on social media” but at least he spoke out. Sick to my back teeth of how we’re being mismanaged as a club.
-
The style works, look at Brighton’s De Zerbi. Our problem was the quality of some of our players (even at Championship level) for it. It has its obvious flaws but Enzo compared to our managers since is night and days a better coach/manager.
-
He has been linked to us, too many times for my liking though.
-
I said this to a couple of mates. Genuinely think his hair and the fact he’s dating Lucy Pinder are his best traits. That’s hardly an exciting choice for your next manager. What an uninspiring and constant rumour.
