Imagine thinking that Mavs and Fatawu needed competition in the Championship and when you get promoted that comes in the shape of Reid and Ayew 🤮 -
Ipswich away 2nd November Match Thread

Spot on but sad how so many of us were critical about the signings regardless of their “PL experience”. -
This 100% Bouba getting praised when played in a team that conceded 5 when one of 2 CM’s gives me PTSD when some were faffing over Faes’ debut that saw us ship 6 against Spurs. Bouba’s lack of tactical awareness and overall lack of application is a big no for me.

What I can’t understand is if he was signed with the pending points deduction/cutting costs….why not show faith in our academy players? Reid was surely not brought in with expectations to be a regular starter and with our financial worries/potential restrictions seemed such a no brainer to me. -
It’s like watching a car crash in slow motion though isn’t it? I can’t see any other outcome than him seeing our results mirror the performances which have been dire.
-
I feel like a broken record but once again his post match comments last night come across as deluded and super negative. STOP talking us down as a club at any given opportunity, he is sounding like Rodgers just less obvious with his negativity and it is mirrored in how we play.
-
It’s so sad, as we all know deep down….he’s going no where right now.

I’m not having that Fulham offered him a new deal. They obviously offered him a role at the club shop. -
This post is 100% spot on. It also goes one step further than the going from an iPhone 16 to Nokia in terms of coaching ability. I actually don’t dislike Cooper, he’s clearly out of his depth but as Rudkin seems to be Teflon….an obvious change is needed for our short and longer term future. We will only regress further with such a basic, limited coach….that’s why I’m so convinced that Cooper needs to go.
-
I normally agree with most of your posts mate but Cags made it into the PL and Bundesliga 11. Faes is a slower, poor man’s version of Cags in my eyes.
-
Ok, so I’m a fool but also one of the best players ever football managers, Sir Alex Ferguson is as he said in numerous different methods about a solid defence being more important than your attackers.
-
Ok, so without repeating myself…at the end of the season it means what? Also, other than laughing at both posts is it possible to actually answer my question about what countless other coaches state about the foundation of a successful team is? Spoiler, it’s not for scoring in all 9 games but setting yourself up with a solid defence but let’s all pretend our club/manager are all great shall we?
-
Or ignore what most managers say about setting up a successful team….start with a strong defence and go from there. Mr Negative? Because I think differently to you 🤯
-
Does that get us extra points come the end of the season though?! Seriously clutching with that one.
-
I mean, you could argue that we’re more prepared for the PL than both Ipswich and Southampton too or do we gloss over that?
-
I’m sorry but that’s a ridiculous comment. So when a top club plays another top club they wouldn’t expose him as being absolutely pony and a bomb scare. Faes has no footballing traits that are better than bang average and then throw in his obvious flaws….he’s a low end PL CB who wouldn’t have had a sniff at our club if had some recent CB’s like Lil Wes, Evans, Cags, Morgan, Huth etc.
-
I feel bad being that guy but I think it’s the total opposite and merely backs up the fact that Cooper has no tactical plan. Imagine after “watching all of last seasons games” and not practicing this formation in pre-season rather than 9 games into the PL season.
-
The individual errors can’t be glossed over but Cooper’s limitations were on full showing last night. At HT, if he and his coaching staff didn’t think that Forest would mix it up in the second half to nullify our Enzo style tactics they’re either naive, incompetent or both. He had NOTHING in his locker to mix it up…made some hideous like for like changes and saw us register one shot at home against a local rival. He might be the nicest man in football but he’s not good enough to be a PL manager, would any other club take him?
-
Imagine not bringing on Skipp and using his athleticism when losing a CM and putting Ayew up top with Vardy 🤯
-
The next morning with a more rationale and less emotional head, I still want Cooper gone. His lack of in game management is horrendous to see, not a single one of his changes positively changed the game yet he could have done with the players (minus Bouba, he’s just a waste of a squad number). Ayew could have sat up top next to Vardy and Bilal goes out wide as prime examples. TalkSport this morning seemed to suggest any boo’s were OTT yet only use our league position as a reason for this, which is acceptable at 38 games in but offered zero insight into our actual football so far this season.
-
The players need to know they were an embarrassment BUT so many of the faults such as lack of clear tactics, non existent game management was on Cooper.
-
So the turnaround against Southampton means that the players haven’t turned on Cooper? Does that mean tonight’s lack of anything suggests they’re either 1) a bit shit 2) the media rumours earlier in the season are true and not having him or 3) bit of both.
-
My sentiments to a tee. My disdain for Wout has never been the same for another player and we’ve had some dreadful players over the years.
-
That aimlessly lofted ball in the last minute of the match by JJ sums us up. So void of patterns of play, what to do with the ball in the final third.
-
Only having one shot on target in 85+ minutes of football is on the manager. You're at home and against a local rival. I agree that he can’t account for individual errors but he hasn’t set them up to create chances at home, that’s a manager issue.
