Get off to a good start. Despite us essentially winning the Derby game in the first half, I thought they were edging it until we got that first goal. Then we stepped up.

I think what's happened is that he's been massively overhyped thanks to a decent mini spree in his opening set of games for Brightons first team. And after that, nothing. Injuries and blanks. His record alone looks pretty tragic to be honest. I still wouldn't be averse to a loan though.

Key difference is that the Ed situation meant we couldn't loan anyone else in because we were under Prem loan rules and at our limit. We can at least still get players in on loan even if we can't shift carranza.

There was a moment at 0-0 when he broke forward and waited for the perfect moment to lay it off for the winger to come onto. Unfortunately the 7 sort of rounded his run instead of going straight into it which allowed the defender and keeper to close him down quicker and his effort was saved. I think that was pretty much their highlight of the game to be honest. But it just shows there's a difference in wavelength.

Although not ideal, not actually that arsed about Ayew and Daka staying put til the end of the season. At least they put the effort in despite their obvious limitations. Added to the fact we're well short up top anyway. Ideally though Daka smashes it at Afcon and someone is desperate enough to come in early for him.

I'd quite like to have seen Evans on if only so our whole set of subs were academy products, but Daka is fair enough given the options. Roll on January so we can spend £0 on upgrades!

What do you mean make yer mind up? We needed fresh legs on to occupy their defenders. Daka can do that. If you'd rather have seen Faes come on and do that, fair enough, but I'd rather see Patson doing it.
