Saints fan after the 3-0 loss: "Leicester dominated us two years ago on both occasions, but they very much reminded me of a Martin side tonight. No fight off the ball to win it back and didn't know what to do with the ball when they had it other than pass for passing sake and by that time we can defend comfortably." Sheff Utd Fan after tthe 3-2 loss: "Leicester played slow sideways passing tippy tappy possession football with zero intent to try and score…..reminded me of us under Selles." It's also quite interesting to note the similarities in attitudes among fans at Southampton where they were doing shit under Still and there were a number of fans saying the same thing that some of ours are saying now, that the quality isn't there in the squad and that the manager has nothing to work with, which doesn't really wash when the replacement comes in and not only wins his first 4 of 5, but has also got them scoring 15 goals in 5 games which has more than doubled their seasons tally so far.

He's eroding transfer interest.
-
He looks more confident at Everton than he did at Chelsea. Like he knows he belongs at the level.
-
Not massively relevant about the buy/sell rules, you could buy him and simply loan him to wherever his ultimate destination is with a buy option in the next open window. The Cameron Archer sale to Saints after Villa made a buy back was deemed as a bridge transfer but nothing came of it as you can get away with it if you have "a good explanation".

Ok, so someone suggests a manager with a proven record of promotion from the championship, and is shot down. So presumably then we're looking for managers with a track record of getting promoted to the premier league and keeping them there. Like Cooper for example. So what names can we throw out then?
-
Why do you think Farke would be short term or a patch up?
-
I was just wondering what people think about Parker? I know he's still in a job, but as with Farke they could get trigger happy with them in the bottom 3. And with the likes of Farke and Parker (!) in the positions they're in, is it possible that we're just waiting on one of them to get the boot?
-
You can. But in the same manner they have market values and contracts to be paid up. Who is most responsible for losses, a single manager, a single player or the collective of the team of players? And so which is the most cost effective to get rid of? It's actually not that strange really. If you had a manager in charge of a warehouse of 300 employees and they weren't performing, the manager would be binned off and replaced. You don't get rid of the entire staff and start everything over.

Shame he runs out of talent after half a minute.
-
Opoku also came on for the last 15 minutes.
-
Just won a free kick in a dangerous position too.. Gonna take it. Didn't take it, but Newport scored from it. They look a lot better under Fuchs. Not lumping it over the midfield as they did before.
-
He is 1cm taller than Mascherano. That seems relevant.
-
You've got to say "Going, going" first.
-
There's a lad at Newport we could bring in to replace him in January!

LCFC 2-3 Sheff Utd, post-match thread

Wingers will always be up and down in their performances, even over the course of 90 minutes. Monga only getting 10 makes it harsh to criticise. Just having the presence of another player who can beat a man adds so much more than the backwards pass merchants we have in the side. Not digging Reid out with that comment despite him being the player that made way for JM. -

As it was with Cooper, the result will have some looking back at a 1 goal loss and say we were in the game. And similar to Cooper it's only because we were so tragically inept and only started playing once the tactics (if there are any) go out the window and the players have to go for goals rather than play safety first football. Only positives really were that we had Monga, Mav and Fatawu on the pitch at the same time, which should happen more often, plus the fact we may have found that Skipp is the best CB in the division. -
Fxxk it. This could be a Joelinton transformation.
-
Hopefully he joins them in January.
-
Will be printed on Mongas shirt instead of BC Game.
-
Well they'd be shitting themselves, naturally.
-
Skipp in the Mascherano Barcelona CB transition. £20mill well spent.
-
Boils yer piss that we don't play like this from the off.
-
Get teh fxxk in.
-
So basically we just need to be 3 down in order to put in some effort and intensity into our game... This bodes well.
-
Will it take 2-3 weeks to come to the realisation we're dog shit?
