  1. Agreed. He can’t be brought back in now with only 45 minutes of football, back in August. It’d be a disaster for him. He must just be counting down the days until January 1st!
  2. Just to say as well. You do have the most currently appropriate name on here. Maybe you need to change it
  3. You know this thread isn’t about the manager?
  4. I am just thinking about how badly run this club is and how it is actually more difficult to get it so wrong than it would be to get it right. I bet even as locally as this forum, there will be individuals who hold quite high positions in their respective fields. A CEO, financial director maybe, commercial director? It would be interesting to know if this is the case. My thought was, could a small number of our supporters, with these specialisms, do a better job of running this club. I think yes.
  5. This happens anyway so would have no impact!
  6. I have gone Skipp but a big part of that is also due to how long he has left on his contract. I am seeing light at the end of the tunnel with the others but 2029 isn’t it? We will be in League 1 before then. Will we be able to shift him at that point?
  7. When I first realised we were in trouble was October 2021. We were away with some friends, including a Newcastle supporter and their takeover had just happened but Howe hadn’t yet been appointed. I said to my mate, I hope they come for Rodgers as if we keep him, we will be relegated within 3 years. I mean it was only 18 months from then in reality! But at that point, I would probably admit underestimating it being far more than a Rodgers issue alone. The next summer, 2022 was when it was really apparent we were finished as what we had known for the past few years. Schmeichel and Fofana to be replaced by Faes and Smithies was it. It was obviously that we were going relegated that season. The bounce back was plastering over the massive cracks. As soon as we started last season looking so out of depth, it was obviously that not only our team as a side competing at the top half was done, but our ability to be promoted and stay up. And now this season, promotion already out of the question. What I am illustrating is whilst it seems to have been a quick fall from grace, as the same time it has been a slow death. Each season has demonstrated a new low. No longer competing in the top half, no longer looking capable of even staying in the top flight and now not even able to get promoted to it. This is why those who don’t worry for this season are clueless. The last few years have demonstrated there is no floor, no low point under Aiyawatt. We are still falling and the question is, for how much longer and how low. League 1? League 2? Out the league altogether? Administration? Will be even have a club left? Who even knows anymore….
  8. Would Salech from Cardiff be realistic? Probably not as he is under contract and we won’t pay fees.
  9. To not be concerned would be the arrogant ‘we’ll be fine’ attitude from previous seasons. Anyone who doubts this is where we are heading. Get your head out your a**e!. If it’s not this season, it will be next once the remaining bit of talent we have left clears off.
  10. I can’t see past 2 points from 9 in these next 3 games. Today is a draw all over. Similar story to Pompey and Wrexham. Middlesbrough will win. They did the double last time and they are better and us worse than then. I can see a comfortable away win for them. And Norwich away, yeah they are crap but we are bad away (Swansea aside). Can see us scrambling a draw but don’t see where a win comes from in these next 3. But as has been said, we could give Marti the boot in the break and with dumb and dumber in charge, finances and this group of players, the prospect of it achieving anything positive are slim. It really does seem like time to just introduce some of the kids and look ahead. At the moment, are just wasting a season here.
  11. Probably getting to the point where, rivalry aside, Cov winning wouldn’t be a bad thing from the point of view we are more likely competing with the Wrexham’s of the league than being concerned with who is winning the league. Rivalry side, yes I want them to lose!
  12. I by no means want him at our club. But I do disagree with this. Aiyawatt is beyond clueless. I can’t think of a more clueless and incompetent owner. Textor is a better (but dodgy) businessman. And he knows how to game the system with this type of trading involving Forest. Again, I don’t want us to do that. I want us to get our shit together fairly and without gaming the system but it’s hard to see how we wouldn’t improve. I think we’d see some improvement under pretty much any owners we could have at this stage.
  13. But but but, lots of possession is the only way to be sustainable
  14. Looks like Wednesday have had 21k turn out for an open training session at Hillsborough. Great FU to Chansiri after they all stayed away from the game last week.
  15. I thought Bowen was not pursued as the club don’t feel he had the right character/attitude. Naturally I’m forever grateful we stuck to only going for the good eggs like Faes, Vestergaard, Winks etc!
  16. Na, Carsley won’t have dropped him for that reason. It’ll be because of his performance in the Huddersfield game
  17. Difficult to even pick a decent line up isn’t it. Realistically (so not including the likes of Nelson, Page, Aluko and Evans). Stolarcryk Ricardo - Okoli - Vestergaard - VK James - Winks Fatawu - Ayew - Mavididi Daka This assumes Ramsey is probably out. Monga I think just give him the chance to impact from the bench this week. I think we are putting too much on him as a 16 year old. That said I wouldn’t be against he and Mavididi both in that attacking 3, interchanging and perhaps Ayew up top and drop Daka.
  18. I think we can stay up if no deduction. Probably lower mid table. If we get a deduction, it’s close, could go either way.
  19. Oh damn. So nearly a viable option
  20. Exactly! My biggest issues is the lack of accountability and the toxic culture that has been let get out of hand. The moves you have suggested would indicate in one go, that he has recognised this and handing the reigns to the right people to sort it out.
  21. Agreed. Their playoff seasons were relative success after their decade to date at that point and meant they were quite fond of Chansiri for a while. I find it amazing when those who still defend and follow KP/Aiyawatt blindly chuck out the ‘be careful what you wish for’ and ‘look at Wednesday’ with no sense of irony. But I do think there are similarities. Aiyawatt like Chansiri, didn’t earn his money and inherited it and struggled to run businesses. From comments he has made when facing criticism, it seems that he has a thin skin and fragile ego. These are the traits Chansiri has displayed during his time at Wednesday. And now we have a situation, like you say, in a much bigger scale than Wednesday where we are falling and not done yet. Still have costs our revenue can’t sustain and to boot, the owners main income source is struggling which is a recipe for investment to continue to dry up more so than it already has. I being very careful what I wish for and looking very closely at Wednesday and that is the exact reason for change!
  22. I mean I live and work in Sheffield so I’m not speaking as a distant observer here… I was specifically talking about the Middlesbrough game though. I know they have been pushing for this and there have been thousands still going. It’s been a slow build up but that game in the week was a great effort. My point way, I don’t think there is a single scenario in terms of how bad it could get here, in which we could achieve such a near full boycott as that game in the week. Thousands would still go. I know they have been taking other actions as well. But again, stopping spending money in the ground is such an easy thing to do even for those who (understandably), want to continue to attend and get behind the team. But we will still be raking it in with merchandise and food/drink sales.
  23. You laugh but his type is what we need. I.e focus on youth and builds a squad. Not saying him but someone with those traits.
  24. Yeah one of those phone ins when you linked it on here. To be fair, it’s cult behaviour. Purely and simply. The definition of cult is; “cult” can also mean an intense, devoted following of a particular person, product, or cultural phenomenon’ Sums them up right?
  25. Oops Did the memo of this to Marti get stuck on Rudkin’s famous fax machine?
