Well the ‘but he had a bad game at Huddersfield’ lot who didn’t want him in the side have got their wish…. Shame for him. Sounds like a bad one.
-
Nelson and Okoli out for a while then. Down to two fit centre backs (and them two at that). Why is it that our injury list is the the few players actually worth a damn. Stolarcryk Nelson Okoli Ramsey

Norwich 1-2 LCFC, post-match thread
LCFCJohn replied to Phil Mitchell's topic in Leicester City Forum
Still a miserable, toxic club. We just lucked out against one of the two worse sides than us. -
Still has to go (but won’t).
-
Absolutely. I hate this thought that you have to just not change your mind on things. I also wanted to give him a chance but it’s clear he needs to go. Same as I defended Daka and Thomas longer than almost anyone but have now gone up on them!
-
No not yet. Under this ownership, we won’t even go down to League 1 and have fun smashing it like we did last time. Next season will likely be a lowest league finish in the pyramid in our history…
-
How is anyone still questioning this We are one of the worst sides in this league even without a points deduction!
-
Go to go. What he has done to Nelson is awful. And I don’t need just the not playing him. I mean throwing him in out of pure desperation to save his own skin, after 3 months of no match practice and after a bad injury last season! This was obviously going to happen. I said it repeatedly in Nelson’s thread when it was apparent he was getting thrown in and got shot down. Marti has now possibly set Nelson’s career back again due to being a little weasel trying to save himself.
-
Funny that. Almost like it was predictable that throwing Nelson back in after 3 months of not having any match practice would result in injury….
-
And there is the issue. Too much about either bigs names or the next exotic big thing (that our club is incapable of finding anyway) rather than accepting players who would be genuinely effective for us.
-
Sargent still has 5 goals this season despite how bad their team has been. Despite their league position, and I haven’t seen them play I’ll be honest, but I struggle to believe they can be bad enough to not make easy work of us, especially when they still carry a goal threat with Sargent.
-
Hugely valid point here. You could live with the defensive frailties if the Vestergaard inclusion was working from an attacking perspective. But it clearly isn’t and we need a complete overhaul. As solid a defence as we can muster and use the strengths our attacking players do have. The justification for not using counter attacking as an option is that teams sit back and let us have the ball but it seems to be less as teams know we are useless and dominate us.
-
I don’t think this will be the case. Norwich will win, keeping Manning in the job for longer. But we won’t do anything. We have form for it.

Cheers. We have quite a few in those central positions with Page, Cartwright, Braybrooke and Motsi. Not that Cartwright and Braybrooke will likely get a look in unless we are relegated and Motsi is like a little away yet. -
Still only 39. Gerrim out of retirement!
-
I was just wondering how the hell Tomiyasu was without a club but it looks like injuries so maybe wasn’t fit in the summer? But if he was fit, he’d be a great pick up.
-
I’m really wonder what people like this do for a living…
-
You’ve answered your question in the line immediately after. And yes, in terms of actually doing anything beneficial to the club, there is no point. Surely it would be less effort to just run the club properly than the effort that goes into deflecting and shielding himself from criticism!

Are we talking attacking, central like no10? As opposed to wide or deeper central attacking (no8)? -
It doesn’t even matter if he would or wouldn’t, we will not be poaching any in work managers, particularly from divisional rivals who are likely to finish above us.
-
Watching him a lot for Sheff Utd last season, I believe he can do everything Vestergaard can but has a better attitude. The issue being injuries and fitness. I always thought he was quite slow but there were times for Utd where due to their attacking right back, they were in bother down that side and he was able to get out very quickly to snuff out trouble. Also very capable on the ball. I guess there are different type of slow. Souttar (Morgan was the same) can cover ground quite quickly but reflexes/flexibility are the other side. Still a much better option if fit that Vestergaard and Faes given most of this squads issue is poor mentality.
-
At least it’s not KPFC… As for avatar. Na, waste of time.
-
Is it? If they actually expect him to come in and save them, yes. If they are realistic and accept 2 points from 10 games means they are already down, and are focused on the longer term, then it becomes more attractive.
-
He also has a Stoke side that’s been flapping around the relegation zone for years in the top 2. He was at Coventry for years and got them from L2 to Championship playoffs and built the squad Lampard has inherited. It just got stale, it never made him a bad manager.
-
He was mentioned in the summer and with us falling further (closing the gap more towards where he currently plays), Charlie Savage could be an option. He hasn’t had a good a return on goals/assists so far but is still young.
