Compared to most of you I’ll admit I’m a recent fan, ST holder 3 years, I got into it with my lad when he became a massive fan age 7/8 in the PL winning season. He was born here and feels Leicester through and through, I moved here for work about 25 years ago and have always loved Leicester as a city as I was made so welcome and it’s so friendly compared to so many places down south. Despite all that - and maybe we’d be labelled plastic fans so our opinion doesn’t matter - I care deeply about LCFC. My family think I’m obsessed and they’re right. Devastated by our decline and so very angry with Top and Rudkin. Struggling to know how best to handle our fury, there’s so many contrasting views on here - protest, march, boo everyone including the academy lads, or avoid turning up at all. Sadly my lad has become disheartened with football altogether and has started to replace it with American football. So this likely my last season as a ST holder. I just love going to games as for a couple of hours I forget about all the problems in my life and become totally absorbed in our team and our collective passion. So this is a bit boring but via a vague work association I was told that when Dave Rennie was at Leicester he did a PhD about the new pitch turf, and found that as pitches have got harder there may be more injuries. The club funded him to look into this then for some reason replaced him with Glenn Driscoll. I don’t know the full details but he was looking into it all before he left.

Hope the squad fillers weren’t told they’d be regular starters is my only worry. Martin needs to somehow keep them all happy whether they are main players or supporting acts. But there are lots of games and there will be injuries as we’ve already seen. Also especially with the wingers it’s more of a squad game with subs being just as important. Hope he can manage Bristric and Kangasniemi well and support them to flourish along with our very promising academy lads.

23 out (a few more including end of loans), 12 in and most of our best academy talent promoted to first team. Far better than I’d hoped for & feeling optimistic.
