Bit late but seems like Brandon Cover definitely impressed Port Vale fans. Lots of positive comments

I wasn’t able to watch yesterday but I think we’re going to have a lot of games like that this season. Go behind a goal or two then realise we have no reason to fear the opposition and start playing well but it’s too late.

Just seen the u21s kick off at 3pm so will give us any idea if anything is close for anyone else.

I reckon Cover has a shot. I was just naming those 3 as players who desperately need to play men’s football. Whether that ends up being with us or elsewhere.

Who do we think could potentially go on loan today then? Looks like Nelson is definitely off to the Championship which is great. Brandon Cover is one I’d like to see get a loan. He’s 21 soon and has played loads of games for the U18s/21s the past few seasons I’d say he’s more than ready now. Looking at the u21 squad Ewing is 21, Wormleighton 20, Godsmark-Ford 21 soon. These need to be experiencing first team football now. Hopefully we see some movement. Forgot about Wanya-Marcal who desperately needs to be playing.

Good that we’ve got him a loan when he’s still only 19 and especially to League One. In the past we’ve been guilty of not getting players out on loan quick enough.

I think it’s a great move for him. Like others have said he’ll get to experience playing two huge clubs in Rangers & Celtic a few times (how many times do they play each other in Scotland?) plus a Dundee derby. Think I also read the current manager in the same one Maddison played under at Aberdeen.

Definitely. He’s another one whose development was disrupted by an injury just after a good season. He’ll probably stay with the 21s but one to keep an eye on.

I’d be interested to see how Popov would get on in men’s football. Strikes me as the sort of striker who’d run non stop for 90 minutes.
