If Nelson stays he'll sit on the Bench again for the season.... They don't seem to value the 3 academy lads enough to send them on championship loans to get them decent games and experience in them. They are decent prospects and of value as LCFC players or if they can sell them on. Not sure why the spent on another CB when others areas need bolstering.

Agree, Nelson put in a great shift, never seems to panic and is quicker than he looks. Stolarcyc also great but I worry about the passing around the back. Choudry was awful for 60 minutes, looked like he'd just sobered up, should have been hooked instead of Cover who I thought had a decent debut 45 for a young lad. Enzo's subs changed the game, taking it forward instead of being static in our own half. 2nd half was like a different team. More minutes for Nelson, he's definitely ready for this league and looks as though he'll be ready for the next step.

I wouldn't be surprised if Thomas, Marcal and Nelson aren't exploring options away from Leicester, especially Nelson. He's been in and around the first team since he was 16, playing for England, and has only had 8 official minutes on the pitch. To top it off they have brought in Doyle and yet he is supposedly highly thought of but he is still only 19 and may yet feature in Doyles absence. Will Thomas get another look in?

Nelson can play left or right footed and has played left CB for the majority of any games. Time for a run out and integration into the first team... If he's sorted his stomach out!

Agreed... I think he's no different to Doyle with the exception he could play left or right... Maybe in the middle? Doyle has had the benefit of a big club loans system as opposed to Leicester's not so great system.

Nelson is a left sided CB... If they renew his contract. Not sure why they wouldn't though as he is highly thought of.

Probably... Considering they think very highly of him. Would he be better off elsewhere? Leicester loan arranging appears to be shocking compared to other PL clubs (even though we're not PL currently)... They don't seem to do a lot for these players.... Academy not great either... continuing with villa cast offs and losing..

Can see that we should be looking to win but we still have the need get back into the Prem. If we play fringe players and Liverpool do play a strong team it could really knock the confidence of those players... equally, those players could make their mark.

Maybe they'll try to get him out in January. If he's a high wage, isn't really wanted by Maresca, and, as has been shown, has not even had a bench look in, he's expensive cover. But, there again, as has been shown with Vesty, there is always a chance to show your worth to Maresca (which he clearly hasn't as yet).

It's just you. Nelson never seemed to get a game at Rochdale after they changed manager after 4 or so games... They got relegated!!! He did well at Doncaster and is a regular for England. He seems highly rated by the club and they don't appear to be loaning him this season or is that down to contracts? He seems very calm on the ball and assured, when I've seen him play for Doncaster.
