I think the Soule news maybe has damaged a few fans confidence but he wanted Roma, not a lot you can do, we move on!

It's not gonna be 22 players just passing the ball to each other at a snails tempo like down the park. It'll be a competitive game of footy played over 90 mins. If he goes on loan then yeah I'd agree but times a ticking and that would have to be sorted in mind for anyone we look at. Personally I can't understand the Cannon signing if he won't get gametime, feels like he joined us for 1st team football cause never playing for your parent club and just going on loan would surely have been the reason he left Everton? Whilst I agree about who we should be moving on and who we should be getting in position-wise, it's just never gonna happen! Everyone bar Daka we'd struggle to get any kind of fee for, basically all loans and so no fees means we can't fund those 4 additions. Realistically I see maybe a couple moving on, Souttar, maybe Thomas and then a couple of additions max! All this clamour for a striker is for the birds when we currently have 3, saw the struggles last year of having 4, its impossible to give them all game-time and consistency.

I'm pretty sure we were after Bowen for a couple of years but never pushed hard enough/he chose West Ham. A proper signing and someone that was staring clubs in the face. Well the people complaining usually were mentioning his age, BDR still comfortably 31, whereas Ayew would be 33 in a couple of months, so definitely not the same (we'd give him a 3 year deal). You then consider signing him on top of BDR also adds to the skepticism.
