What a cracking result that was. Everyone pulled their weight and we looked like we oozed confidence and quality. I can see me preferring McAteer in this position, and Nelson did not look out of place at all when coming on. Doyle was a bit sloppy again at times, but i put that down to him getting back up to speed. Nice to see Daka on the score sheet again, and for Vardy to come on and then bag two as well. Atmosphere was great - although must be one of the worst home atmospheres around. Even below ours!

Last time I went I'm sure there was a counting house type pub / restaurant within walking distance. Was a few years ago now though and it is stoke so it's probably derelict now.

Probably right. Personally I'd like to see Cannon however Enzo has made a clear indication with Daka bringing him straight back into the team. I don't think he played that well against Swansea but did set up the first and win the penalty for the second. Perhaps would be harsh if dropped. Whoever we choose, whilst I get the importance of rotation, we need our main striker to be playing consistently to ensure their match sharpness & confidence. Either Cannon or Daka, they need a run of games.

Hopefully won't be too long now then but like you say, at least it's compensated and it's certainly a bit warmer than a few days ago.

Yeah I totally agree. To be fair, we are zone 1 and weren't expecting to be back on any time soon so it was a nice suprise when he turned up at the door. Like you say, it softens the blow when you know your getting compo - which, I hear is sorted automatically to your energy provider?

I do like how the players stick to Enzo ball though. You can hear the crowd getting frustrated and I'm sure some players would feel the pressure and probably go long to appease the crown - especially if them themselves weren't too confident / happy with the tactics.

Probably the most relevant thread... But just wanted put it out there that we have had no Gas for 4 days now due to a major incident whereby water mains have burst and entered the Gas Mains. Although it's not their fault, it's Cadent's responsibility to correct the damages. They've been absolutely fantastic. They've supplied Electric Heaters, Oil heaters, socks, blankets, electric hobs and also a JustEat Voucher! I know it's a billion pound business, and everyone pays ridiculous monthly bills towards Gas & electric...but Cadent have been brilliant. Just had our Gas put back on now!

Surely Enzo knew the financial situation of the club? I don't see how Enzo would have been as nieve enough to think we can just slap a 'For Sale' sign on players and expect them & our financial problems to be gone over night....like some on here seem to think is possible.. I'm pretty sure all the available finances and future finances will have been discussed in detail. I think the end of this season we'll be able to have a more efficient clear out thus giving us the money to support Enzo's plans. You only have to look at the players in our squad, for a championship team, to know there's going to be major financial issues.

I know the way we have missed out might be frustrating, and it possibly shows further incompetence from the board...its not really a big deal missing out on the actual player himself. We're cruising the league, have players returning, and will have money and time come the end of the season. I am more frustrated at not shifting the likes of Ward and Souttar than I am missing out on Sensi tbh.

I think the on going saga, and the principle of how we would miss out, is more frustrating that the prospect of actually missing out on the player signing. I don't doubt he would be a good signing, but he's certainly not a necessity right now.

I would like to see Cannon & Fatawu back in the team but I'm not so sure we'll see Daka dropped. He was a frustrating watch against Swansea but still got an assist for the first and won the penalty so would probably be harsh to drop him. Keep forgetting that alongside Daka, Cannon & Vardy, there's still Nacho to come back.

Reckon he'll do decent in this league to be fair. Didn't realise he's already been at Ipswich a few years ago.

I think we'll get this over the line, but worse case if we don't, we'll still have plenty of time and likely more money at the end of the season to find an alternative.

There are things that need to be fine tuned with this style of play, but as a whole, we look very dominant and we play with purpose. We never look panicked, and we just pick away at the opponents until we get our break through. You'd hope it's only going to improve & we're probably only a player or two away from everything really clicking.
