Probably the biggest reason is financially It's different nowadays, it would cost more to hold a match like that at the KP than they could make on the gate. Great in theory and fans think it's as simple as suggested about but there loads more to think about. That's why fans don't run clubs. Insurance Security Wages heating and lighting Huge cost on wear and that on pitch they are so expensive to maintain. For the revenue they would get back, charging a couple of quid would cost them money. That's why most clubs hold the games at training grounds.l I expect.
