I’m not confident club leadership even have the interview or appointment process fully nailed down yet, so I’m cautious about taking ITK claims at face value — especially after our last appointment. But if someone knows who our next manager will be or even who the new technical director is, by all means I'm all ears!

Been saying Skubala for a while. It would be a risk, and I think that's a smart perspective. If the club is looking for a longer term managerial appointment I would pay the compensation to get him, if he's interested. If we're targeting a shorter term appointment he may not be the right fit.

Every managerial appointment is a risk. We’re making one in January with no technical director, no transfer budget, low confidence, and a points deduction looming. We’re not looking for a long-term solution—we need someone who can stabilize the squad, restore belief, and steady the ship. A more visionary free-agent would cost money we don't have, and a manager without league experience feels too risky. So the club will likely target someone who is affordable, lower-risk, and has proven experience in this league. A two-year appointment at most, to get us back to stability, then reassess once we have more resources and a technical director. There aren't a ton of options out there that would fit that remit. Mowbray feels like the best fit for those criteria. Just curious, who would you go for?

Any managerial selection now needs to pragmatic. We are mid table, facing a 6-9 point deduction that could put us close to a relegation fight, we have no technical director in place. We don't need a manager leading with philosophy and explaining what they want to do with Leicester long term. We need reliability, stability and credibility. Results over style. For that reason I don't think we will go with Martin. Leadership may be out of touch with the fans, but everyone saw what happened at Rangers. The fans weren't having Martin from day one. I also don't think the club will go after a long-term vision manager. We need a low maintenance manager who can work within our constraints, work with the squad he has and maximize their output and re-establish the club's credibility. For me its Tony Mowbray. He gets the league, understand the pressure. He's a no nonsense appointment. Give him a 1-2 year contract. Let him restore order and belief, get us back to winning and then we can go after a more "appealing" aspirational hire with a long term vision once we have a technical director in place, and have sorted PSR issues.

Mowbray, Rowet, or Hasenhuttl in that order. Any one of those three would do. In an ideal world Mark Robins given where we are as a club.

I imagine he will be asked to take charge for a few games on an interim basis before a new manager can be sorted out. But overall I don't think he's the ideal solution for the rest of the season.

I think we could bring in someone like Skubala who is managing at a smaller footprint club like Lincoln City. Given that is league one I could see the compensation fee being realistic for us to pay. We wouldn't be paying out Enzo Maresca money to get him in the door.

One win in the last five. Losing to a squad at the very bottom end of the table. Marti isn't turning this ship around. Has to go.

I honestly can’t see us signing any new players this window unless we first sell Monga, Fatawu, or both. Given the financial reality, I wouldn’t be surprised if the club sells both before the deadline. Then, in the final 24 hours, we bring in one or two loans to at least have some depth at striker and in the back line. It’s the kind of approach that makes sense if the real priority is rebuilding the budget rather than strengthening the squad. And if that’s the plan, it also makes sense why the club might be saving money for a new technical director—or even a new manager (if only!)

What really frustrates me is the lack of proactive leadership from the club. We’re on course for a mid-table finish. That simply isn’t good enough for a club of Leicester’s size and history. At this point, I can only assume that the board’s priority isn’t competing for promotion, but rather avoiding relegation, balancing the books, and setting up a bigger rebuild next season. On some level I understand that approach. Sacking a manager and bringing in new players isn’t just a football decision—it’s a financial one. And if the club is trying to avoid another PSR violation, then money has to be the limiting factor. If that’s the case, then PSR isn’t just a regulatory issue—it’s our biggest opponent this season. It would also be the only rational explanation I can see for why Marti is still in charge. Because if the goal was to compete and push for success, the current direction and lack of ambition would be impossible to justify. Just so sick of how bad we look under Marti and not understanding why he's still here. Make it make sense!

Expecting Leicester to win under Marti Cifuentes is becoming an exercise in lunacy. Its the same plot line over and over. We can't put 90 minutes of football together. Can't keep a clean sheet. Set up negatively against a team of championship journeymen. I hate the lack of conviction this owner has. This team is sleep walking towards being a mainstay at the bottom end of the championship. The time to act is now! Marti has been found out a long time ago, he has no clue what he's doing. I am done watching Leicester until he's gone. There isn't any point in wasting my time and energy because its the same old song and dance each match.

Fully expect Wrexham to score early on in the 2nd half. A draw or a loss here and Marti needs to go. Club leadership have to prioritize this season. Its not a throw away season.

Even though we are 13th we are only 10 points off 3rd. A run of form could be the difference between a possibility of promotion or staying in the championship which has serious financial implications, I actually don't see how we can afford to keep him. Overall I don't see any point to sticking with the Marti Cifuentes project. This team has gone backward in almost all areas under his watch. But we're in such a strange position, in the middle of a transfer window, middle of appointing a new technical director sadly I don't see us getting rid of him.

He's being link heavily with Celtic. I'd imagine he would go there unless they can't match his wages. Think he would be a great addition for us if we could manage it.

Thomas Frank's days at Spurs are numbered. If he's sacked he would be an option to explore for sure. Maybe he could bring in someone from Brentford to be in our new Technical Director role or whatever we are calling this new role that Rudkin is leaving? A wild thought I know....

Yes! I mentioned him a few weeks back. I think he would be the complete opposite of Marti: more aggressive, not afraid of taking risks in matches, wants to possess the ball for the sake of momentum, not just control. I think he would take on a project like Leicester. He's on contract with Lincoln until 2028. I don't think he would be too expensive to poach from Lincoln - maybe 1-2 million pounds (that's on the high end).

Honestly wouldn't hate to see Mads back here on loan from West Ham. Jakub's distribution has been so poor this season.

This is prime time Marti Ball. Clueless, one dimensional, no intensity, no creativity.

I don't trust a Marti team up at half-time. We need to come out of the half swinging and put the game to bed early. We need this win. If you can't win at home when you are up at half you need to go. Its now or never Marti, prove me wrong.

Agree 1000% - for me its about the mentality Cifuentes wants to play with: we either lose from winning positions or get blown away. To me that screams that he is trying too hard to play it safe, which would be great if we were a bottom side trying to stay up. It doesn't fit with the narrative of a team trying to chase promotion. So there's the big issue for me. Is Cifuentes here to help us get promoted or not? Knowing the goal for this season would bring a lot more clarity and context to our results. If we are pushing for promotion he needs to seriously change things or go.

I think you're misunderstanding what I'm saying. I agree, our players are massively underperforming. For me this is not due to the quality of our squad, its due to the failings of our manager. Our squad is a top level championship side when evaluated on pure player value, quality, footballing pedigree and talent. This is a squad that can do a lot better than midtable. We have players who have played international football, champions league football, had success in the premier league and come from elite football academies and played with the games top coaches. In terms of value, quality, and talent I think we have a squad that should be in the top 5 if it had a manager who knew how to use that talent more effectively.
