Think people are OTT in judging Carranza already. He's just moved country, leagues and systems. It'll take gametime and learning to get up to the level he can operate at. Whatever that is.
I don't agree with all of Marti's substitutions but I do like that he uses some early and that he uses them all - that was one of Bren's problems (same for older managers in general).
Hate that he is using BDCR but as people say, he's forced into it to an extent because the club didn't get rid of enough of the old boys. Vesty, Faes, Soumaré, Winks, BDCR, Ayew, Daka should have been sold as cheaply as necessary so that they COULDN'T be chosen. It's almost impossible to leave veteran heads out on the money they are being paid. VK is a mistake too, proven to be hopeless and needs moving on.
West Brom , Cov etc... are teams that will be in and around the playoff positions at the end of the year. That tells me that even our limited players are around the playoffs (dependant on whether we have a points deduction). I believe we will see team improvement as they get used to each other and Cifuentes system. We'll be in the top 10 at the end of 2025 and then our January window moves will decide whether we can challenge for autos, playoffs or take another year in the championship to regroup.
Certainly don't want us to change manager again this season. We need stability there. He needs another coach or two to help out, though.
