  1. Solak once faced charges of attempted murder against a former Serbian president. Certainly he’s a crook, be it a very rich one.
  2. Interesting. Just seen the statement out from Southampton, they are targeting a few points. - They didn’t pressure junior staff into spying on teams. - The penalty was over the top for the crime - Two individuals on the independent panel had links to Middlesbrough, with one being a former player and one representing the club legally. They’ve got to realise that of all the teams to **** about with, Middlesbrough are one of the worst. Just look at the way Gibson went after Derby, he’s bloody ruthless.
  3. What’s worse. If they had someone walk the other side of the Boro training ground on the footpath into the wooded area, they firstly wouldn’t of been seen and would also have a better view of the 1st team pitch..
  4. True. Years ago I worked for a multinational corporation and one of the owners wanted to get into football by buying a stack in a club. He was advised at the time to look at Bristol City (and Plymouth), purely because it has so much potential to grow.
  5. I don’t think so. It’s based on the 24/25 accounts in the top flight, if you look at what they sold last summer and the reduction in wages then they’ll be just fine. Especially if you look at what they owe in comparison to West Ham…
  6. Not sure they will. Notice some Brizzle fans were complaining about not having much money to spend….it’ll be hilarious half they end up with Martin.
  7. I reckon it’s mind games, send someone up there to get caught on purpose to sow the seeds of doubt into ‘Boro.
  8. We’ll still be an attractive club for players to join, so I have no doubts that even with the fire sale and financial constraints we’ll have a fairly decent starting XI. Just looking at some of the clubs in the league though, Christ, the likes of Mansfield and Wycombe, plus we’ll be everyone’s cup final.
  9. It’s a tight ground but they have had some issues this season. I’m sure I read somewhere that they are due a fine if something happens again, so on the back of this they might be £50k lighter.
  10. Those last couple of free kicks sums up the season. Hopefully Tuesday puts us out of our misery
  11. Exactly what Southampton did and now look at them.
  12. The other night they created a fair bit against Derby without any real end product, but yesterday they seemed to have a right stinker and offered nothing. I think they are the ones who could swap places with us in the league.
  13. Stewart out of contract at Southampton this summer. That has us all over it, bloke can hardly play 20 games a season..
  14. Soft penalty that too.
  15. Got the documentary on the box, owned by yanks and instantly they believe they are massive. On a side note I remember going to St Andrews in the 00’s and the locals lobbed batteries down on the away support from the tier above. Since then I’ve wished for their demise.
  16. Last time it was three clubs of any real standing though. Obviously massively eclipsed if we go down with Wednesday and Albion.
  17. 2008/09 Norwich, Charlton and Southampton? Probably the closest.
  18. Pompey have got 14 first team players out, and yet they are still giving it a bit of a go and (could) grind out a result tonight. Doesn’t look great for us..
  19. Southampton fans are really enjoying our current transfer history of buying all their crap… https://www.saintsweb.co.uk/topic/61948-the-leicester-city-appreciation-thread/
  20. I genuinely fear promotion, and speaking to Southampton fans down here they are feeling the same and don’t want to go up. next season should be fun, Wolves are joining us and I’d love to see West Ham down.
  21. Reasonably positive about this one and Ipswich fans are an insufferable bunch. 2-1
  22. Exactly that. It’s like possession, look at the Oxford vs Ipswich game the other night. Ipswich had all the ball and yet Oxford created the big chances.
  23. Listening to the little snippets from the players. He’s simplified things and has got them all understanding how the opposition will play.
  24. Switching off till May. This is awful
