He’ll hopefully get a look in Pre season. I don’t care what anyone says the kid is extremely talented. It’s not just Leicester fans praising him. Plenty of opposition fans have singled him out as being really good. He might not be a Prem level midfielder but it’s not looking like we’ll be a Prem level team any time soon.

I think people look at our academy players through the lens of us still being a top 5 premier league side and they’d struggle to make the jump up. We are a bottom half Championship side with no money to spend. Braybrooke going from League 2 to the Championship next season really isn’t that unrealistic. So not sure why him being at Newport is used to bash him.

It’s very much a thing academy players do on their socials. They post almost a highlight reel after games.

I can’t say for definite as it would be impossible to go and look but there’s definitely a percentage of people on here who get excited when there’s a chance to criticise these kids (I realise Nelson isn’t a kid but feels like it to me..) The reaction to Aluko getting sent off was utterly embarrassing. Grown men going crazy and giddy because they can go I TOLD YOU SO!!! THE 18 YEAR OLD IS SHIT!!! Nelson was by all accounts poor yesterday or just at fault for a goal i don’t know. I couldn’t watch. Of course fans who like seeing Academy players involved are biased and less likely to criticise, but if I’m totally honest after the last few years of “senior pros” putting disgraceful performances in every week I don’t mind Nelson, Aluko, Page and even Silko Thomas looking shaky. If it means we’re actually building towards something. I think people forget we’ll still be a Championship side next season & potentially not much money to spend. We will need these kids. It’s not like we’ll be expecting them to jump up to the Prem. You even get accounts taking snide shots at Alves & Braybrooke ffs.
