A lass I know (wife’s friend) works at the training ground in admin, she said she’s seen him there throughout this last week mate And as for him being at yesterdays game, I heard this on a WhatsApp group, a lad mentioned he saw him “mingling” at half time, haven’t seen any pictures though

It’s strange there’s been no official announcement that’s McCarron has started But he has apparently started, he’s been seen working from the training ground this week, and seen at yesterday’s game so clearly he’s not changed his mind, and appeared to have started.

Come on guys ffs let’s try and stay a little bit optimistic just got too focus on the positives haven’t we -
Mr McCarron was at the training ground today it appears our new Sporting Director has started

I mean, that all sounds kinda reasonable until you look at the fact that we have just 4 games remaining, there’s no chances he’s dropping players who on paper, and quite frankly in reality as well, should be doing far better than they are Unfortunately Rowett will move on saying the players were to blame for the relegation, which tbh they are, rather than trying what you suggest and getting relegated for playing the kids etc which will then more be entirely on him he’s not a desperate passionate fan like we are, he’s an employee looking at what’s the best outcome for him when the inevitable happens and if by some miracle, we stay up, he’ll take those plaudits that my friend, is football, the ugly side of football

I never thought I’d mention the word impressive before I say moron but Trump really is an impressive moron his stupidness knows no bounds
-
He’s a young lad that’s come into an unprofessional toxic squad his levels were always going too dip in that atmosphere in the dressing room young lads are more impressionable, being surround by older lads with terrible attitudes rub off unfortunately its ashame because he’s a talented lad
-
I’ve got no qualms with Rowett personally he is a decent manager Managers are paid big money to come in and make things better too pick the players up and galvanise them and improve them. thats not possible when several players couldn’t give a toss he can’t wave a magic wand when facing such attitudes, and we can see these attitudes in plain sight on the pitch, it’s utterly disgusting the attitude these players are showing. i think if anything, Rowett is in a state of disbelief too how such fortunate men earning so much money living a dream most lads can only dream of…..are displaying such awful non professional behaviours

Yep annoyingly, these wage thief's won’t want too be getting injured as it’ll make it more difficult for them too jump ship too new clubs I hate the structure of football and how people on millions per year can just throw the towel in and there’s nothing really anyone can do -
Nobody actually believes what Trump and his administration say do they??? the fact he threatened too obliterate 90 million people should push those around him too vote too activate article 25, but we know he’s surrounded by Christian whack jobs (the extremest kind) who are all equally as warped as Trump. The stuff this administration is coming out with and the posts from Trump are actually F’ing mental there’s no ceasefire, Israel is bombing ten bells out of Lebanon

Oh I agree but I’d hardly describe it a mess like someone else had mentioned. we don’t need false accusations from our own fans about new people coming into the Club with backgrounds that clearly show they have something about them, as McCarron shows. Opinions are one thing but just throwing around factually incorrect statements isn’t helping anyone, especially in times like this.
-
By all accounts??? whos account might that be? A sports Journalist’s tweet?? come on that’s just weak, let’s looks at the facts, McCarron left Lommel this year, the manager and team are predominantly his doing, and they a going for promotion. hardly sounds like a mess if you ask me. McCarron, not too burden him with too much pressure, which I am going too do, is the only shining light we have imo looking at his CV Just because things are bleak, doesn’t mean we should castigate all potentially optimistic changes within the club McCarron could fail miserably but I must say, nothing about his career trajectory suggests he has no hope, I’m clinging on too that

Yes!!!!

Of all the games for an opposition keeper too have a colossal confidence boosting super human game
-
70th minute and it’s still 1-0 next low point will be 80th minute and it’s still 1-0 You want too know how the 90th minute sounds?
-
Relegation is literally staring them in the face, and they just ain’t bothered judging by this performance it’s beyond comprehension the lack of urgency
-
You couldn’t make it up literally the perfect result in Oxford Portsmouth drawing, an opportunity too capitalise on getting out of the bottom 3 and we potentially lose too the team that should have been a guaranteed 3 points 🤦🏼♂️ they need a rocket up their **** in that dressing room how much money do these lads earn? And they show up with performances like this???
-
Yeh I did see this but couldn’t find any credible details on its truth tbh. I don’t see much suffering though as that journalist would suggest, a quick look and I see record league sales of players, state of the art new training facility which opened up after McCarron left which is something he’d have been overseeing during his tenure and a squad still predominantly the same since he left with a manager he hired that are currently going for promotion this season. Could have left them in a worse position. I’m always dubious of spiteful journalism, not that they are always wrong.
-
100% It’ll be an eye opener for him coming here I completely agree and agree things I’d imagine fall into place more easily under the CFG umbrella with the direction ect, maybe he’s super confident in his ability too step outside the CFG comfort zone and see’s us as a project worth taking on visualising the riches at the end of it if he’s successful with us, I mean, what a career boost that would be for him. or, he’s standard Top appointed that turns out too be deluded in his abilities and gets sent walking come September I’m hoping but also relatively confident it’s the former. theres others I’d far sooner see sent packing, unlikely I know
-
His CV would suggest he’s done quite a lot tbf for his age. We aren’t going too get a polished glowing proven Sporting Director with a track record in the role at the highest level. McCarron looks perfectly decent enough for the position we find ourselves in. Of the 3 big new roles, he’s the only one I’m remotely optimistic about. I understand from circles within CFG, I’ve heard from folks that the likes of Brian Marwood and Simon Timson all rating this fella as CFG’s best up and coming SD’s. Its nonetheless a curious jump from City too us but, perhaps he doesn’t want too be abroad no more with other CFG Clubs? And there’s no near future openings at Man City as SD? Who knows. It’s the falling upwards I’m more baffled at in Rudkin, I have optimism though, what’s the other option?
-
It’s a huge position in all fairness Regardless of the mess we are in McCarrons background is in Elite Perfomance, Recruitment, academy infrastructures and a PhD sports science background too boot. He’s essentially being handed the keys too easily one of the best sporting facilities in world football, with his background it’s probably a dream to have the opportunity, and if he turns it around for us behind the scenes I imagine from his own professional point of view it would do his career wonders we’ll see I guess
-
We are poaching a CFG guy that’s on the up, you better believe a contract scenario has been drafted and agreed by McCarron for all scenarios, those being relegation, Championship and Premiership. I gather that he’ll be starting in April perhaps, don’t understand why we can’t just buy him out of Cfg as we need him now but then I am also aware CFG have had a reshuffle themselves with McCarron and 3 others being apart of that at director level last year so maybe they aren’t willing for him too go immediately and need him too see out his notice. he’s done well for himself McCarron but we are a huge jump for him from his previous sporting director position at Lommel, even if relegated we’ll be an attractive proposition, he’s not a fan don’t forget, he’s a young lad climbing the ladder, look at our recent history, our training facilities, we are a massive step up for someone in his position regardless too a issues. If he gets it right with us, he can keep climbing, make no bones about it, success will only make us a stepping stone, that’s how things work in football, but if he’s a success with us and moves on, then he’ll have done a job we need
