  1. Didn’t Top say one of McCarron’s many jobs will be to install the new playing philosophy going forward? If Schrueder rumours are remotely even true, then I’d say this direction for manager selection has likely got McCarron’s fingerprints all over it and he’d be leading the charge or even negotiations I bloody hope so atleast
  2. So Dick gets PEC Zwolle promoted back to the Eredivisie in 2023 playing his attack football, moves to Spanish Club Castellón in 2023 and gets them promoted up too LaLiga 2 playing his attack football, gets sacked in 2025, moves too NEC and gets them challenging for CL football playing his attack football. clearly got something about him, unsure of why he got sacked the season after getting Castellón promoted? otherwise looks solid
  3. As far as Club size goes, We dwarf NEC We’ve the far bigger fan base, stadium, world class training facility to boot and also, something that talks quite often the most, is Money, Dick might be trying too finish in a CL Spot for CL football next season, but I dare say even in League 1 we’d be able too pay far more money Thats pretty much all NEC has going for them, the fact they are playing for Champions League football next season, quite a big thing mind Get him in our dreamy training facilities McCarron, offer him double his money, sell the vision of getting back too the premier league, he’ll sign on the line quicker than a quick thing from quick land
  4. He was reportedly on £300k receiving a pay rise in 2024, so perhaps £350k/£400k now?
  5. Well considering it’s a private facility I’d hardly call it sports washing As for the touches, it’s nothing dramatic or in your face, it’s not boastful either, it’s subtle but impactful at the same time, the only thing dramatic really is the facility itself with how gargantually (is that a word??) impressive the place is. Theres pictures, stunning club related artwork, placards, memorials, achievements, inspirations darted around all over the place in such beautiful ways showing the family, past players, staff members, community projects, the fans and academy integration all intertwining together in a way I can’t really do it any justice by describing other than it’s brilliantly done, inspiringly so. It felt like a “look what we all did together” kind of touch rather than purely family dedicated. Now, I know laughably All that may sound rather pointless considering the mess we are in, none of the impressive nature of the facility nor inspiring touches from the family are having any impact right now on bloody anything!!…..but that’s not my point though, my point was simply I could see it clearly means a lot too Top. He’s just unfortunately not his Dad, but there’s no doubt he cares If anything it made me more pi**ed off with the players, getting paid fortunes and working there everyday and still having the audacity too show such awful attitudes, they should be walking around like they’ve won the lottery every day
  6. I personally do believe Top is heavily emotionally invested into the Club having been too the training facility. Not only is the facility world class but throughout it are quite frankly highly emotive touches of what the club means too the family, I was quite taken aback tbh. Top might be doing a piss poor job of things since his Dad passed, but if you went too the training ground and saw the family touches all around the facility, I’d challenge anyone too tell me he doesn’t give a toss afterwards. changed my view on him, not too the point I’m a Top Cheer leader, but no doubt about it, it’s not a play thing for him, it’s much more than that
  7. From what I understand from those “in the know”, the training facility is sustainable and more than secure for a season in League 1. Any more than one season in League 1 then things gets disgustingly complex as I’ve been told. Major cut backs are obviously occurring within the facility and ideas being bashed together for utilising the facility too generate money, for example A Madrid are coming too use the facilities for a pretty price soon, there’s also jobs losses too amongst many of the repercussions of the situation we are in anyone had the pleasure of visiting the facility? I can tell you that the clips online that look phenomenal do it no justice, you could without question imagine it too be fit for Barcelona or Real Madrid when you walk around it, makes it all the more embarrassing it’s a league 1 facility now.
  8. Brian Barry Murphy Chris Davies Lee Carsley I do believe these will be the big targets as opposed too your Russel Martins , Skubala’s etc etc Seen some mention McCarron might bring in Lee Johnson from Lommel etc but I wouldn’t be in the slightest surprised if there’s something in McCarron’s contract blocking him from bringing anyone from the CFG clubs, managerial wise for a specified time period, it’s not an uncommon request.
  9. Look maybe spouting off with “plastic fans” and “morons” was abit strong. Sometimes emotion can get the better of us during these times You’ve obviously taken offence to so I’ll hold my hands up and apologise for using too strong a language, I’m no more loyal a fan as you are, we both want nothing but the good times and for success too return too incredible Club. We just see things differently in how best too go about it, and as I’ve said I just don’t see losing the support from the stadium in anyway helpful for the season going forward, but I guess we can go around in circles with that conversation mate
  10. Your entitled too your opinion good sir 🫶🏼
  11. Yep that’s fair enough I’ll leave now
  12. I get what your saying mate and believe it’s fair comment. Especially paying your hard earned money too go and watch players that aren’t giving their all and picking up a wage too do so, slaps us all in the face. However I’d very much expect there too be quite a substantial clear out of the current starting 11. The new lads are going to need the support no?? The new lads will have had absolutely nothing too do with the abysmal position the previous crop of “supposed” premier league quality players on premier league salaries stealing a living infront of our very eyes and getting us relegated. Of the new lads when they come in might well be useless but they need too be given a chance, they need too be given our support, just how I feel pal.
  13. Speaking of back benchers, you all know Angela Rayner is abit of alright just admit it and move on with your lives
  14. Dammit!!!! he missed!!
  15. Precisely why they are plastic Real fans “have enough” but F me we keep going!! why? there’d be no club otherwise would there, that would be a fabulous outcome wouldn’t it…..not I go with my 6 year old, what message does it send too the youngen’s, what message do I send too my 6 year old if I say “nah, it’s crap now lad, we’ll come back when we are winning again, that’s how you support a Club” I want him too love the Club like I do, through thick and thin. Ownership is Ownership, the Club is the Club morons who can’t separate the 2 are morons I’ve been too the Protest’s against the ownership (without my little lad) and I’m disgusted with where we are. but we need too support as much as we can now
  16. The Club still needs supporting regardless too Top or Rudkin, so yes, it’s a silly question for me laughable when the plastic supporters come back during the good times then bugger off when it’s bad you either support the Club or don’t? Top is the current guardian, the finance guy, he’s not Leicester City Football Club I don’t like his ownership right now, but I like/love the Club, now is a time our support is needed more than ever imagine a full ground start of the new season with many new players ready too rock n roll rather than an empty/half empty ground full of doom and gloom yeh, that’ll sort out toxicity…….
  17. He’ll happily sit on the sidelines collecting £50k a week until 2027 then he ain’t going too get anywhere near £50k a week elsewhere he’s not going too leave us to go and earn £15k/£20k a week elsewhere and rip up his remaining years worth here is he, that’s £2.6 million too him many of the players are in that predicament only real way past that is too sell them at real low prices with the hope the buying club will pick up their wage demands having paid so little for them
  18. The recruitment of 25-30 Year olds is an interesting one and valid question too ask All depends on the strategy, players at the lower end of that age spectrum can be very profitable with them approaching their prime, bring them in and sell them on,, and the players at the older end can bring experience and leadership for the younger developing players Whatever McCarron was doing, earned him that promotion to global director and I think that’s a green tick rather than a red flag
  19. Wether he ends up a success or failure, I’d be more than happy too lets hope it’s the former though hay
  20. Where’s your evidence for McCarron’s failure in a weaker league? Or is it just that he was there for 3 years and didn’t get them promoted? Is that your basis? What do you know about Belgium football and the quality of it? The structure of it? The difference in quality between Pro League and the Challenger Pro League? what do you know specifically about McCarron’s role as Sporting Director there? What do you know of the specific roles of some of the Clubs under the CFG umbrella?? Were you aware of the 12 clubs CFG have, specifically 4 of them are dedicated Development Clubs in: Lommel SK Troyes Montevideo Palermo of course promotion would be desirable but the role at these clubs is really entirely about player development too feed Man City, their other Clubs or too make player profits so after 3 years at a development Club for CFG, to then be promoted too CFG’s Global Director of Player Development….he must have been pretty sh*t hot at his role there come on ffs its not as black and white as he didn’t get them promoted blah blah blah so he must have failed, clearly not with his promotion, that alone is evidence he excelled in his role there There were reports McCarron left Lommel in €20 million of debt, what’s that got to do with the price of cheese? If it’s even true? Perhaps some of that debt is from the multimillion pounds state of the art brand-new training facility and academy they have just finished building there under McCarron‘s watch? Hardly anything to do with bad running of the club. People need to research more before casting out silly tropes I know there’s not much to be positive about and I know it’s difficult to trust any appointments that Top makes But this McCarron fella in my opinion looks like a coup, he has done nothing but excel Granted coming to Leicester could break that upward trajectory for him. I’m not saying he’s a guaranteed winner for us, but he doesn’t look bad when you look at it all Global Director of Player Development at the biggest Footballing group in the world?? His contact book and access too the best talent or up and coming talent must be the most sought after golden ticket book in the game he’s our sporting director now get too work please
  21. Lads on £90k a week and knows he’s despised he ain’t going too care and nor would any of us in his place earning that lads laughing whilst stealing a living, but I’m enjoying the boooos nonetheless
  22. Too much negativity I’m going too go back to cost of living reality too cheer me up
  23. I actually don’t see what was wrong with Begovics pass?? The seasons done, accept it, Begz has just tried cementing that fact, fair play I say why hold on by the finger tips ripping your finger off in absolute agony when you know the outcome anyway? blatant own goal next please and a proper top corner job of it too lets go out with a screamer lads for the crack
  24. That’s disgusting Any fan imo seeing no problem here is a lost fool wether you think it’s performative or “all about himself” have the decency/humanity too leave that too yourself in moments like this We might not like Tops club ruling, but he’s no tyrant, he’s just not his father, and whilst he commemorates his Dad who died horrifically in the stadium, he should be left be, I can’t even believe that has too be said??
  25. What don’t you understand regarding why he’s a Sporting Director?? Is his CV not self explanatory enough for you? I feel looking at his impressive and extensive CV, his trajectory too being an SD looks quite logical no? You don’t just wake up one day and bang you’re a Sporting Director. He’s been head of academy performance at Sunderland, Elite performance manager for the Premier League, head of sports science at Man City, and literally his last 2 roles have been Directors roles one being an actual Sporting Director for a Belgium club and the other a Director role for CFG for player development. All those roles require the behind scenes running of said departments and gaining knowledge and experience of how all departments connect and work together giving him a good insight no doubt into how clubs run. Yet you don’t seem too know what he’s done too get such a role? the mind boggles and sounds like your just wanting too bash him for the sake of doing so. Wether he’s done a good job in those roles is an entirely different question, but that has nothing to do with “not understanding what he’s done” which should really be clear from all of the above. He must be the king of winging it with a CV like that if he’s been a shambles everywhere he’s been. lets not scourge the new guy before he gets a chance, perhaps at my own peril, McCarron is where my last remaining fragmented shred of optimism remains.
